Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on May 27.
Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Canterbury, Sale, Sunshine Coast, Warwick, Belmont & Strathalbyn.
Canterbury: Race 7 @ 4:20pm
A very strong pace is expected with Chocolatier heading the charge from Assault'n'Bathory. CHOCOLATIER (7) led and was only gunned down close to home when 3rd in soft going over this course and distance first up from a spell three weeks ago. Will strip fitter today and with an aggressive ride from Nash up front he will be very hard to catch. DREAM CIRCLE (11) was a long way back from a wide gate but charged home to get up for 2nd over 1300m at Warwick Farm a fortnight ago. Will appreciate the speed up front and is the one to watch for late in proceedings. SNEAK PREVIEW (9) did his best work late to grab 3rd over 1400m at Scone recently. Had one run at a mile and scored at Kembla last prep so he will relish the step up in journey. BIGBOYROY (1) burst through a gap at the 250m and just missed in a driving finish over 1400m at Warwick Farm first up. Placed 2/3 second up and likes racing here so he has to be included despite a poor gate. SELECTIONS: #7 Chocolatier is an each-way special.

Sale: Race 4 @ 2:10pm
Moi Choux can make the speed and they will run along. BEAUTY SUPREME (2) brought very strong form to resumption beaten a half length in a city Open 2. He runs along and is clearly the one to beat with the extra fitness. SANTORINI SUMMER (4) wasn’t beaten far resuming in the Beauty Supreme race back to his best. Draws to advantage and will be fitter also. MOI CHOUX (1) led and won comfortably here and then led again missing a nose the same venue as favourite in 70 grade. The 3kg claim takes care of the weight hike and the grade suits. PARIS (8) resumes for the Moody yard with Nolen booked and is up to this. Draws out but keep the filly very safe. SELECTIONS: #2 Beauty Supreme looks well placed.
Belmont Race 3 @ 4:25pm AEDT
Flagstick the most likely leader. SILVER SCOUT (2) is a speed runner, but settled last resuming off a wide gate in the 16 horse field. Powered home to win that Maiden and made a big impression. He will use the low gate today and no surprise if he goes on with it. STARALIGN (3) improved again at Pinjarra and is a genuine chance reaching peak. GREAT CHARADE (4) needed it first-up at Ascot on stronger class and can make quick improvement. He will get every chance drawn the rail. CARLTON CASTLE (1) also finds easier second-up and gets the blinkers applied first time. SELECTIONS: #2 Silver Scout looks promising.
