Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 4.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wellington, Wyong, Wangaratta & Townsville.
Wyong: Race 1 @ 1:10pm
Cosmic Bullet should be quick into stride. COSTA ZOU (2) finds his race. He's displayed a high level of talent right throughout his fourteen starts and definitely shouldn't still me a maiden. Well supported favourite when beaten narrowly at Newcastle last start. Blinkers come off for this similar assignment. D-day. JAZIRAT (6) was run off her legs last start. Gives the impression the mile will suit. Still on the up and with the Godolphin polish she looks a leading threat. CALIFORNIA SPELL (4) looks a speed influence in the race. He's produced better efforts his past few. Well weighted with the claim and should give a sight. APRIL THUNDER (3) best of the rest. Has performed below expectations in both runs back. SELECTIONS: Costa Zou straight out.

Wangaratta: Race 7 @ 3:30pm
Malevolent can lead from Smokin' Hard. TATUNKA (1) was slow off and back and wide and made an impression winning the 58 at Seymour first-up. He gets a low gate today and has more up the sleeve. He's capable of winning again. AWAY CRUISING (10) just missed resuming for the form yard and is improved. Needs a good ride from the wide gate, but Egan is reunited and the mare is a live chance. MALEVOLENT (6) brings a win and a close-up effort from the synthetic and the speedy galloper has never raced better. Just needs to bring that form to the grass to be a player at a price. SEBSILK (13) presents off a strong Maiden win on the synthetic. He has good grass ratings and gets the chance to go on. SELECTIONS: #1 Tatunka looks a solid each way bet at the current $5.50 quote.
Townsville: Race 9 @ 4:25pm
Dalon and Confronting can vie for the lead and the field will scoot along. A good contest. DALON (3) was back to his best leading and winning the CL6 here by a space on the heavy. Has dryer track figures to match and can go on with it with the 4x winning rider reunited and with some weight relief. VIA BALCIANO (8) won comfortably and has placed close-up twice since. The well-bred gelding will clear the tricky gate okay and is a winning chance. CONFRONTING (1) led and won this grade by a space and then just battled after being headed at the top of the straight heavily-backed. Draws to advantage and is worth another chance. BEST HOFFA (4) brings a strong win at this level and it was deserved. He will do close with a repeat. SELECTIONS: #3 Dalon is suited and is the bet.
