Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 11.
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Gosford, Grafton, Ballarat, Cairns & Pinjarra.
Gosford: Race 8 @ 4:25pm
Strong speed to end the program. SALINA DREAMING (5) is a promising type. She hasn't finished outside the podium in her four starts thus far. Just missed on the bog track here most recently. Had no luck with barriers and the trend continues here, drawn the extreme outside. Stacked with potential and is the one to beat. TALLIS (7) will take some catching on the speed. Fought on well in a Highway at Randwick first-up. Very honest and will look the winner at some stage. RIFLES (6) has been thereabouts of late. Not beaten far in an easier race at Cessnock last start when sent out a ridiculously short-priced favourite. Will have admirers. ADVANCE PARTY (3) for the exotics. SELECTIONS: Salina Dreaming gets the nod.

Ballarat: Race 6 @ 3:30pm
Careless Whisper and Miss Hayworth can run them along. MISS HAYWORTH (5) is promising and missed a nose resuming before leading and winning the Ballarat Maiden easily. Draws to lead or box-seat and can go right on with it briefly freshened. FRENCH STAR (9) won the Maiden third-up and impressed sweeping to the lead at the 200m. She gets a soft run from the rail and is a serious player. LEVERAGED (1) races handy and couldn't make the hat-trick at Sandown in stronger than this. Didn't get it easy and the win prior at this level was comprehensive. She's a genuine hope. CARELESS WHISPER (4) placed first-up in town in a 70 and then had no luck at Ballarat as favourite. She will be fitter and is worth another chance. SELECTIONS: #9 French Star is $8.0 + in morning markets and the betting edge may be with her each way, racing for the new yard.
Pinjarra: Race 9 @ 6:00pm
There is good early pace with Twentythree Red and Uncle Lino the pair that may vie to lead. ROMAN FLIRT (6) has won the last three comfortably and keeps getting better. Has been heavily-backed and at the latest outing was up to this trip. Keeps Pike and can keep the wins rolling. TWENTYTHREE RED (1) will come over and is a candidate to lead keeping the 3kg claim. Placed second 2L behind the above the latest and it wouldn't surprise if he got closer. VINTAGE STOCK (3) won at Belmont and then things didn't work out there after. Looks suited and can be in the finish. UNCLE LINO (5) may be best of the rest racing handy. SELECTIONS: #6 Roman Flirt has more upside and can win again.
