Bathurst Race 5 @ 3:20pm

Early speed right across the barriers with Mont Genep a candidate to lead. TURFEZE (12) placed twice and then delivered the Maiden at Canberra as the market expected. She will be right on speed again from the low gate and can win again with the weight relief up in grade. Peaks today and Cahill is a positive jockey booking. MONT GENEP (7) won at this level at Dubbo and then things didn't work out in town on the heavy track. This suits much better and the speedy galloper is a genuine hope with the extra fitness. JARMANAGIC (1) gets an advantageous gate and 3kg claim and won't be far away finding his best. SIMCHA (4) won the CL1 well at Dubbo and can build on that. SELECTION: #12 Turfeze rates strongly off the Canberra win and will get all the favours.

Albury Race 3 @ 1:45pm
The large field will run along and Taliano may be the one to lead. SUPER DOUTE'S (2) was a strong trial winner here and then placed on debut the same venue as favourite. He will be better for that and gets his chance with McDougall taking the ride. KEZ (7) has trialled solidly and makes her debut for the Williams yard. Gets a handy gate and Loy aboard and expect a bold showing. PILLAR OF STRENGTH (1) debuts off a good trial for the Heywood yard and draws to advantage. Keep him very safe as well. ZAKERIZ (3) was good resuming and may be best of the rest. SELECTION: #2 Super Doute's has upside and can win with the race experience.

Pakenham Race 6 @ 3:00pm
Expect a solid run over the middle distance with Cleo's Poet a likely pacemaker. CAKE WALKER (4) improved at Swan Hill as favourite before winning the Maiden on the Ballarat Synthetic by a space. Lapped up the middle distance in that and can go right on with it for the sharp yard with Kah sticking. PACHINO BOY (6) peaks and has been going along okay well-backed. Finds a shorter trip and has had a jumps trial since the last run. In good hands and will see it right out. I AM THE FOX (3) has also been racing well without winning and has had some excuses the last two. He's a chance back in grade. AVOZINHA (5) is an improver up to this trip for the first time and she needs to be kept onside. SELECTION: #4 Cake Walker can go right on with it.
