Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 16.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Nowra, Tamworth, Ballarat & Toowoomba.
Nowra: Race 7 @ 4:20pm
Not a great deal of early speed on paper - Are Zhu Ready can cross and take it up. KIMBERLEY RAIN (8) caught the eye on debut last start when she ran on powerfully to get up for 3rd over 1000m on a heavy track at Kembla. Perfectly placed over an extra furlong today in a weaker maiden. Looks very hard to hold out. The North American-bred LOVE TAP (7) for the Freedman stable is worth monitoring on debut. Didn't show a lot in his first two trials then was gelded and looked a lot better when 3rd at Rosehill recently. Respect any market confidence. CUBMAN (1) didn't get a proper crack at them and was only beaten 2.5 lengths over this distance at Kembla recently. Sure to be about the money. ARE ZHU READY (11) is very fit after four runs back and might take some catching with the light weight. SELECTIONS: #8 Kimberley Rain is a nice bet to close the card.

Ballarat: Race 8 @ 4:00pm
The Pugilist and Emily I Am may be the pair to run them along. THE PUGILIST (7) brings strong Adelaide form to resumption and is sharp fresh. Draws well in easier grade and Billy Egan has his first ride for the form barn. The gelding will have come on and will take plenty of beating. FRENCH SUCCESS (3) got too far back resuming at Sandown off a wide gate and did a big job beaten 1.5L. Draws low today and Stackhouse takes over. She is right up to this and should go close. RUNBRO (4) has been around the mark the last two and John Allen is reunited and knows him well. He can make the finish. ROCK'N'ROLLROCK (11) has just missed the last two at 58 level and draws to advantage. Gets the weight relief and has to be kept onside at a price. SELECTIONS: Looks a good kick off point for #7 The Pugilist.
