Boomers guard Cameron Gliddon will leave Brisbane Bullets with one year still to run on his contract with the NBL club.

Cameron Gliddon has been released from the final year of his NBL contract with Brisbane Bullets.

The guard won a spot in Australia's World Cup squad last year under Bullets coach Andrej Lemanis.

However, former Cairns captain Gliddon finished with career-low statistics in points, rebounds, assists and minutes played per game in last season's NBL.

The 30-year-old became a father last season and said "the time was right to for a fresh start".

West Australian Gliddon is free to explore other opportunities, with the NBL's official free agency period due to begin next month.

"Our paths have been intertwined over the past few years and we have had many great experiences together with the national team and with the Bullets," Lemanis said.

"It's been great to see Cameron's growth during that time both on and off the court.

"It's always disappointing to have relationships come to an end, however, it's clear the time is right for Cameron and his family to find the next stage in their journey and I wish them every success in that pursuit."

The Bullets have Australian guards Jason Cadee and Nathan Sobey on the books for next season.

"With a strong core group locked in for NBL21, we will now turn our attention to the free agency period and continue to build our team for the upcoming season," Lemanis said.
