Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 18.
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wyong, Seymour, Townsville, Warwick & Northam.
Wyong: Race 5 @ 3:10pm
Will run along in this. Handy CL2. It's well documented the talent of SPACEBOY (1) but finding the winner's list on a regular occasion has been his downfall. Looked to have turned the corner with an impressive maiden win three back at Kembla Grange. Two runs subsequently have been the Spaceboy of old, running well into the placings when appearing to have every chance. Tongue Tie is fitted and he's back nicely in grade. ARCHERY BUTTS (5) is a big threat. Gritty on-paced win at Gosford three weeks ago. Few hairy moments at the short odds but he toughed it out well. Open to plenty of improvement and can take the natural progression. AL SNIP (6) hasn't put a foot wrong early in her career. Trialled well for her return. Keep safe. VULPINE (7) for the exotics. SELECTIONS: Spaceboy gets the nod.

Seymour: Race 4 @ 2:30pm
Expect a solid tempo but it's not clear cut the lead. CABINHO (1) peaks and has missed a lip his last two, and did a big job the latest behind Arctic Wolf. Keeps Oliver and is clearly the one to beat drawn to advantage. BUTTERCUP BABY (7) will be better for the two runs back when running on well in both after slow starts. Will likely get back again, but the extra trip will suit and she's a definite hope. TAKATOKA (5) found one to good as favourite on debut at the mile and resumes for the form yard. He draws to advantage and looks capable of fighting out the finish. TOVOLO GAP (12) did enough resuming for the Moody yard to suggest she's a hope with the extra fitness. The yard is really hitting its straps. SELECTIONS: #1 Cabinho should get a soft run from the low gate and sets a decent standard.
Northam: Race 5 @ 4:35pm
I'm Icey is the likely leader and may not get a lot of pressure. SPEEDY MISS (3) missed a lip at this level before winning the CL3 finishing it off well. Gets the wide gate today but Pike rides first time and the mare rates to go on with it. SUSPECTUS (11) won the CL1 by a space first-up and can build on that. Goes well second-up and expect him to get a soft run from the handy gate. STAIRWAYTOTHEMOON (9) resumes for a good yard and brings two solid trials. Will race over further, but has won fresh and she's likely to be running on. STORMY RULER (2) will be better for the two runs back and wouldn't be far away finding his best. SELECTIONS: Hard to go past #3 Speedy Miss.
