A ten race program makes it a long day for all involved so hopefully a winner is in store.
A couple of Listed races later on for the 3yos will keep that interest and in the Aquanita Stakes, we'll go for Uncle Dick to turn being beaten at Pinjarra into a Listed win in town.
He's been getting well back in his races over the mile and less and this time while that will occur again off the gate, he has another 400m to make it up.
He rattles to the line and most important to note that after his three runs, William Pike jumps on for Lindsey Smith. Not many more in form participants can combine around the country.
As long as he's not giving away a furlong, he's going to be very hard to hold back on the line.
The following race is the Belmont Oaks and we might have egg on our face but we'll tip against a G1 winner.
No doubt Kay Cee is a tough one to crack but Chantrea, for the same Pike/Smith combination, has already built up a lovely unbeaten record.
She is by a sire who is going to produce some lovely stayers in the future in Puissance De Lune.
You can see she will lap up the 2000m of the Oaks and probably even further in time.
Kay Cee won the Belmont Guineas but it wasn't the most authoritative victory and so that final bit of this journey could be the big factor.
More than OK taking the gamble on her at the odds compared to taking red odds the G1 winner.
