Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on July 3.

Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Muswellbrook, Nowra, Bendigo, Ipswich & Carnarvon. 

Bendigo: Race 4 @ 2:00pm

Not much early pace and Not Usual Dream gets the opportunity to lead from the low gate. CRACKSMAN (3) was back and deep first-up and powered home to miss a nose over the mile. He then went to Adelaide and was much to good as favourite. He looks ready for the staying trip and rates to be winning. HEIR TO THE THRONE (1) is a solid stayer and didn't have the best of it here the latest as favourite. He deserves a win and the 2kg claim brings him right into it. BLANDFORD LAD (7) won here at this level three-back and then was out-graded at Flemington before getting little luck at Sale. He finally gets a low gate and the blinkers go on again. VIRTUOUS (11) did a big job winning the 58 at the mile as favourite. She's won at this trip and has to be kept onside with the weight relief.  SELECTIONS: This looks a nice progression for #3 Cracksman.

Ipswich: Race 2 @ 12:20pm

Beware and Sertin can make the speed over the short sprint. SUKOSHI (7) is a former Victorian who quickly found form just beaten second-up at Murwillumbah. She has plenty up the sleeve and this looks winnable drawn well off a brief freshen. CAILINI (6) was tracking well for the leading yard before a poor effort at the Sunshine Coast in this grade. She's trialled sharply at Doomben since and will go close with Byrne taking over and getting a soft run from the rail. SERTIN (5) resumes with a 2kg claim and rates right up to this. Relishes the trip and expect him to be further improved and ready to go. BEWARE (3) runs along and go on the lip defeat at Warwick two back. He's well in the mix. SELECTIONS: #7 Sukoshi ticks most boxes and should be winning.

Muswellbrook: Race 2 @ 12:50pm 

Contango should inject plenty of pace. PURE RUBICK (4) is the one to beat. He's shown good ability in his brief career thus far. Held his own when respected in the market at Wyong last time out. The distance increase is a positive and with even luck from the alley he looks a strong winning contender. CONTANGO (2) got tired first-up but did greet that off one soft trial so it wasn't a total shock to see him weaken out. Strips much fitter and will be allowed to find his feet early racing over the longer trip. ALL A LADY (7) has had a few chances by now. Provincial form of late reads well. Chance. NEANDERTHAL (3) jumped favourite but was beaten by the draw at Wellington last start. Not the worst. SELECTIONS: Pure Rubick straight out.
