Eight TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Sunday at Pakenham, Grafton, Sunshine Coast, Port Augusta, Kalgoorlie, Hobart, Warrnambool and Mudgee.

Pakenham Synthetic: Race 4 @ 1:45pm

Moss Landing can lead and Brazen Princess and Journalese will race close-up. JOURNALESE (14) just-missed on debut at Sale racing handy and gets the rail. The in-form yard has saved him for this from a winnable race and fitter expect him to go close. TIME WARRIOR (5) resumes and showed promise the initial campaign. He will have come on and has the speed to manage the tricky gate. GOLDEN LOOP (11) is a stablemate to Journalese and is a market watch on debut. She draws out, but is bred to be fast and good. SELECTION: Going with #14  Journalese in an interesting race.

Kalgoorlie: Race 6 @ at 5:45pm

Murray The Bulldog can lead the fields from Pastry and Deel Red. PASTRY (8) has had one small blip in a string of placings and missed a whisker the latest not having the best of it. The city and provincial form prior also reads well and she can win with a good ride pushing forward from the tricky gate. ABSOLUTE (3) is an ex Victorian who returned in racing in good order for the same yard. He's still a number of lengths off his best and needs to be kept very safe. ROCKY PATH (12) brings solid figures from city grade and ran favourite the latest at Belmont. She's a player in this company, but needs some luck from the sticky gate. KELLY'S SECRET (7) may be best of the rest on the 7-day return and back some in grade. SELECTION: #8 Pastry gets her chance for the leading yard.

Port Augusta: Race 1 @ 12:00pm

Pearl Dragon can make the speed. PEARL DRAGON (3) peaks off much stronger Maidens and just missed twice before snapping from the speed in Saturday grade. He looks much better than these and if he takes to the sand he should be winning. SPECIAL BOOM (5) had good support resuming at Gawler and just battled. He gets the blinkers first time and can make quick improvement with a good ride from the tricky gate by the 3kg apprentice. ROCKATANSKY (4) resumed in good order and then was plain after against the above. Gets the visor first time and can improve. COLD GOLD (7) has placed the last three here and won't be far away again. SELECTION: #3 Pearl Dragon should have these covered.

Grafton: Race 5 @ 2:50pm

Will go quick in this. DELAYED RESPONSE (5) resumes off three months. Deserving winner at Armidale when last sighted. That was over 1900m but she's won two races over the 1400m, including fresh last preparation. Classy when right and should be hard to beat in this line-up. TIS TOBY (11) was strong winner at Casino last start. It was no fluke given his consistent efforts prior. Confidence at an optimum and he looks a big threat. DARK EURO (10) ran well without winning last time in. Low draw gives him every chance to be competitive. BUGALUGS (4) best of the rest. SELECTION: #5 Delayed Response gets the nod.

Mudgee: Race 4 @ 2:30pm

Will run along in this. A MAGIC ZARIZ (1) has been a terrific horse for connections. Made a sustained run around them when placing at Dubbo three weeks ago. Well weighted again with the claim. Will be strong late. THE LONG RUN (4) caused an upset over the longer trip last start. Confidence at a high and she must be kept safe. Sharp overall record. NOEL'S GIFT (5) best of the rest. SELECTION: Keen on #1 A Magic Zariz.

Hobart: Race 5 @ 12.35pm

La Dernier Fille and The Master Speed to go forward at a moderate pace. RUETTIGER (1) resumed over 1200m here last start and ran the fitter Apriano to a long neck, surging late under the 60 kgs but just running out of ground. Better placed out to this trip and with the claim for Louis he looks beautifully placed. FRAGMENT (3) has been freshened up since a modestly successful Victorian sojourn during lock-down, with a close 4th at Cranbourne the highlight. Distance specialist who will be hard to toss with some weight relief today. Consistent mare SHADY HUSTLE (2) returns from a 130-day spell. Stakes-winner who will be better over more ground but is capable of a big run while a bit on the new side. THE MASTER SPEED (5) finished over 3 lengths behind Ruettiger here last start. Cannot bridge that gap but a minor placing is on the cards. SELECTION: #1 Ruettiger is the best bet on the big card.
