Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on July 7.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Newcastle, Warren, Ballarat & Rockhampton.
Newcastle: Race 3 @ 2:05pm
Diamonds And Rust to lead at a good gallop. REZEALIENT (5) ran on well under 62 kgs but found the winner too strong over 2000m in a Ballarat Bm78 last start. Beautifully placed by the Maher/Eustace stable today in a Class 1 with just 57 kgs after the claim. Ready to win with the blinkers going on. DIAMONDS AND RUST (10) went close over the mile here two runs back then couldn't lead last start and just whacked away to finish midfield on a heavy track over 2140m at Warwick Farm. Far better placed this time and will give them something to catch. DUNDEE (1) gave a nice kick and won his maiden with a fair bit in hand recently over 1900m at Gosford. Not sure he can give weight to the top two selections and win but is a progressive stayer with each-way claims. KIPPAX (7) broke through for an easy maiden win over 2200m at Scone last start. Further improvement is on the cards. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #5 Rezealient.

Warren: Race 2 @ 1:45pm
Intense Passion and Tenango from good gates will inject plenty of early pace into the contest. TENANGO (4) made it three minor placings from as many runs this prep when she boxed on gamely for 3rd over 1100m at Wellington 33 days ago. Has trialled since to keep her ticking over. Drawn perfectly and is poised to break through. TANK ATTACK (10) settled near the tail then launched late to get up for 3rd over 1110m at Dubbo last time out. Fitter for two runs back and will be hard to hold out. JAPINGKA (5) kept finding and wasn't beaten far over 1110m at Dubbo recently. Needs a bit of luck from an awkward gate but is in the mix as she reaches peak fitness. INTENSE PASSION (3) defied the huge quote to battle on well for 3rd on debut last start at Dubbo. Doubt that was a fluke so must be respected. SELECTIONS: #4 Tenango is great each-way value.
Rockhampton: Race 7 @ 2:50pm
Jack Lancaster and The Baker may be the pair to run them along. ALL EEZ (9) missed a nose and then led winning the CL6 comfortably as expected. Forget the latest when he was out-graded at Doomben. He gets the blinkers again and is drawn low. He is in very light in this grade and can bounce back. CASINO THOUGHTS (2) is an improver who was only beaten late at this level two weeks ago. He keeps the 3kg claim and is a genuine hope. BAT A KAT (4) resumes for the new yard and has trialled well with Butler on and he sticks. He's has plenty of ability but has had 565 days away and plenty of trust is required. FRIENDLY DRAGON (1) resumes and is capable at best. The recent trial suggests he will come back in good order and he won't be far away at odds with a good ride. SELECTIONS: #9 All Eez ticks most boxes.
Ballarat Synthetic: Race 8 @ 4:00pm
Hedley's Lady may set a solid tempo. HEDLEY'S LADY (9) deserved the Maiden win and did it by 7L heavily-bet. He then led again at this level and was run over late again a hot favourite. He peaks and should go close for the form yard his first time on this surface. KAMO (2) brought strong form from the last campaign when delivering an impressive first-up Maiden win on the Pakenham synthetic. He had strong market support and it wouldn't surprise if he went on with it. BATTLE MASTER (1) has just missed the last three and there was nothing in it here the latest in better class. He rates highly but draws the car park. MISTRESS MOLLY (3) won the 58 second-up on the Pakenham synthetic and did it well. Made sharp improvement and is a genuine hope with a repeat. SELECTIONS: A good betting program. #9 Hedley’s Lady looks a solid bet at the each way quote.
