Moonee Valley: Race 6 @ 2:45pm

No clear leader on paper. Cataracta can be prominent with an even early speed expected. Cataracta (8) looks suited stepping up in distance after a close up finish last start over 1300m when things didn't go her way. She can settle close to the speed from a good draw and notch a second win this preparation. TOOSBUY (1) surprised last start when winning impressively in this distance range beating some handy types off some moderate form prior. He has to be respected here. Imported galloper CADRE DU NOIR (3) creates plenty of interest here at his local debut and any market moves could prove significant. His English form is sound for a race of this nature. REGAL ROSSA (10) is open to improvement second up and is worth including. SELECTIONS: Cataracta can bounce back.

Hawkesbury: Race 5 @ 2:40pm

Expecting a solid tempo, headed by the Waterhouse/Bott runner in Escaped (1). He resumes as a gelding. Displayed good talent amongst his brief career, culminating with a 3.8L defeat in town to Dawn Passage at his most recent start. Latest trial at Randwick was superb, putting a gap on his rivals which included Thursday's Ramornie winner Signore Fox. Needs to deliver on raceday but he appears a likable proposition. STONE COLD (9) is a regular in these provincial BM races. Not beaten far in a race that changed complexion at Kembla Grange last start. Nicely weighted and does have a liking for this venue. FRONT MONEY (6) possessed a stack of promise in her debut campaign. Got the job done at her first start then beat all bar city performer Mo's Crown. Given time by the Hawkes camp. Watch the market. COCO CUBER (3) for the exotics. SELECTIONS: Escaped resumes in a nice race. Backing with confidence.

Grafton: Race 6 @ 3:40pm

Will run along in this. Miss Clambake (3) can take the next step. Well supported and didn't let them down here a fortnight ago. Holds nice scope. Stable in flying form during this carnival and they can put the icing on the gate with this galloper. RESPLENDENCE (8) can't be overlooked. Deserving winner at Port Mac last start when there to be beaten. Handles all conditions and Looker will give her every chance. SHAME WARNED (7) has more talent than his record suggests. Back from 2000m and should cut all the corners from the low draw. REAL GENT (1) best of the remainder. SELECTIONS: Miss Clambake. Backing to win.

Carnarvon Race 7 @ 7:00pm

Ballidu Bomber can make the pace from Danefin. Danefin (5) seeks the hat-trick off two big wins. He was heavily-bet here 9-days ago racing away after finding the front before the turn. He keeps the 2kg claim for a form apprentice and can go right on with it. ESPRESSO LASS (1) has had one blip in a string of good efforts and finds easier grade. He draws out but can make the finish with the 3kg claimer going on. BIG BLOWS (2) won the 68 by a space three weeks ago and will be better for that. He will get a soft run and is a player. COSTA LANTE (7) had excuses the latest, but was an easy winner prior and won't be far away with a return to that. SELECTIONS: #8 Danefin is well-placed to keep the wins rolling.
