Veteran sharpshooter Todd Blanchfield has joined reigning NBL champions Perth on a two-year deal, bolstering the Wildcats' roster.

Reigning NBL champions Perth have bolstered their roster with the addition of veteran sharpshooter Todd Blanchfield on a two-year deal.

The Wildcats have won five of the past seven national titles and hope the 28-year-old can help to extend that success.

"It's obviously a really good group of guys and the organisation is top notch, as good as you're going to get in the NBL, so it's pretty cool to be a part of that," Blanchfield said.

"Everyone wants to achieve a championship in their career, and that's what I'm chasing, and Perth have done that quite a lot in the last few years."

Blanchfield spent the past two seasons with Illawarra and previously played with Sydney, Melbourne United and the defunct Townsville Crocodiles.

He has played 283 NBL games. He averaged 13.6 points per match at 44.9 per cent from the field during his time with the Hawks.

"I like to shoot the ball, I've obviously become known as a three-point shooter, but I also like to put some heat on the rim," Blanchfield said.

"Defensively, I like to be vocal and loud so my teammates know I've got their back.

"I'm only 28, so every day I'm looking to get better and improve in some way and, ultimately, push for that championship.

"I just want to come in and do what I need to do to help this team push for that."

Last season's runners-up Sydney have signed Blanchfield's former Hawks teammate Angus Glover.

The promising 21-year-old guard has signed a three-year deal with the Kings after striking up a relationship with head coach Will Weaver.

"Being able to spend time with Will while I was with the Boomers at the end of last season was a big factor in my decision to join the club," Glover said.

"The confidence he gives to players is massive, and even five or six days with him was a big jump forward for my development."

The 2020/21 NBL season is expected to tip off in December.
