Bendigo: Race 3 @ 1:15pm
Early speed looks genuine. BORN A WARRIOR (2) resumes here having been placed at Group 3 level as a 2YO. He was unplaced in two runs last campaign in stronger races but looks to have the necessary class to go very close here with the Blinkers coming off. DIAMOND THORA (7) just missed prior to a spell and further improvement can be expected here. Keep safe. JUDGEMENT (9) is first up and has recent form around some handy types. She's worth including. SELECTION: Born A Warrior has the form., should be winning.
Kalgoorlie: Race 2 @ 3:42pm
There are on-pacers across the barriers who are capable of pushing on to lead. DO YOUR BEST (8) is ready to win and things didn't work out as favourite the latest for the new (Fernie) yard. She will run along from the handy gate and rates the one to beat. UNDER THE RADAR (11) resumes and debuted in Group company. She's obvious shown plenty and owns a good Lark Hill trial. Draws out but keep a close eye on the market. PROTECTED ACTION (1) hasn't been far away the last two and the extra 100m will suit. The 2kg claim brings him right into it. NAUGHTY THOUGHTIES (9) just missed against the above improving. He should have the speed to manage the sticky gate and is in the mix. SELECTION: Backing #8 Do Your Best to win.
Sunshine Coast: Race 5 @ 3:20pm
Princess Cavallo should roll to the front. ONE FOR BETTY (6) has come back in fine order. Given a nice ride at Eagle Farm last start when getting the job done. Building a handy profile. Will only be fitter and is the testing material in this line-up. GOLLY HUTT (5) has struggled his past couple. No match in a leader dominated race last start. Seems to find another gear when racing at the Sunshine Coast. Notable rider change and should be respected. TOAN THANG (4) resumes. Hit his straps over a slightly longer journey last time in. Brilliant record here and he's a cheeky chance for the multiples off two solid trials. NAVAL STRIKE (2) best of the rest. SELECTION: #6 One For Betty straight out.
Dubbo: Race 3 @ 1:50pm
Plenty of pacesetters engaged. SPRITZA SERITZA (11) is on debut from an astute stable. Liked her extension when winning the second of her three public trials. Nicely bred daughter of Deep Field. Expecting a forward showing despite the wide alley. BANJU (1) has had the two career starts for two minor placings. Chased gamely behind a smart type in Last Chance Dance here last meeting. Showing good promise. Will need to do it the hard way but appears the obvious threat. ALISON PRINCESS (4) has had plenty of chances. Goes well here and on the fresh side she can perform at a competitive standard. GREAT EXCITEMENT (5) is well weighted with the claim for Qin Yong. In a good yard and her effort here last start was solid. ADELAIDE FLAIR (8) best of the rest. SELECTION: Going with #11 Spritza Seritza.
Casterton: Race 1 @ 12:55pm
There's a number of on-pace jumpers engaged capable of pushing on to lead. SAUNTER BOY (7) had three hurdle trials before being beaten 2.3L in a Flemington Open over 2800m. He's a Group level galloper in a star yard and should prove too nippy. STRATEGIC DEMAND (8) has been well-conditioned on the flat and has had a number of hurdle trials. He won the latest and Pateman sticks from that. Respect the yard as well. BEAU BALMAIN (2) found one far too good as an equal favourite at Pakenham and has been kept up to the mark with a flat run since. He will be competitive on the 5-day return. LITTLE PHOENIX (3) placed here three-back this trip and can make the first four with a return to that. SELECTION: Backing #7 Saunter Boy.
