Narromine: Race 4 @ 1:55pm

Looks a solid tempo as Fever Tree strides to the front. Competitive contest over the mile. FEVER TREE (1) has a sense of timing about his chances. He's been a model of consistency in tougher grade all preparation. Mowed down in the shadows at Forbes last start, with the eventual winner Wild Rocket franking the form winning again subsequently. Only blemish in his form was a last at Wagga on a bottomless and we shouldn't have those conditions here. Stable/jockey have a meeting much closer to home today so to make the trek here is ominous signs for the opposition. Deserving favourite and will take plenty of pegging back on the speed. TIME TO DAZZLE (11) is trying to give William Freedman his first winner as a trainer. Stable debut at Scone was a fair effort. Racing over the mile off a two month break clearly pulled her up the final furlong. Noticeably fitter and will provide company on the speed. POP POWER (3) bolted in at Gilgandra a fortnight ago. Admittedly it was a Sky2 meeting but he'll take much needed confidence from that. Next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fever Tree is the testing material. Backing to win.

Moruya: Race 2 @ 1:25pm

No noted lead but Alan, Serb Alert and Kentucky Award will all be prominent. Nice race for ONE MAN BAND (3). Chased strongly but just ran out of time when beaten a head by Pahang here on resumption. Fitter/further are pluses. Rates highly on best form and he'll be chiming in at the right time down the centre. Hard to hold out. KEZ (8) won't retire a maiden. She's shown glimpses of ability in her four starts to date. Hit the front 100m out and looked the winner last start at Goulburn. Positioned closer in the run on that occasion after almost becoming detached when a warm favourite prior to that at Wagga. Big threat. ALAN (1) is up and running. He crossed the line 0.4L behind Kez in the same race most recently. Easy to tie in and the blinkers will sharpen him nicely. THINK RUSH (5) is a market watch having his first start for the new stable. SUGGESTED PLAY: One Man Band straight out.

Kalgoorlie Race 2 @ 2:20pm

No designated leader with Cavaller, Escalating and Aurae likely to race handy and capable of pushing on. ESCALATING (2) has had one blip in a string of placings and has been favourite the last two. He has to come back 200m but rates strongly in this line-up and can finally break through for the leading barn drawn to advantage. AURAE (7) can race handier today from the better draw and was in need of the run resuming for the new yard. She's in light with the 2kg claim and has more to give. Expect quick improvement. DAWN ENIGMA (3) came off provincial runs to miss a lip in the Escalating race. He's a live chance if he can hold that form. CAVALLER (4) improved into the placings and then ran along again and was plain after. He's on the quick return and the yard is respected. SELECTION: The race sets up well for #2 Escalating.

Port Augusta Race 7 @ 4:10pm
Real Easy can make the speed and they will run along. REAL EASY (1) won the 56 here by a space and then came back one level just beaten on the grass at Balaklava. He draws to control the race and should be winning carrying the same weight back on the dirt. COLD GOLD (2) presents off the deserved Maiden win and didn't get it easy. Needs to find a bit more but should get every chance to make it a double. QUICKER THAN SLICK (4) is also a last-start Maiden winner this venue and has had a freshen-up. Draws well and can make the finish with the 2kg claim. AMERICAN STORM (5) also gets a good gate and has been racing in city and provincial company. No surprise to see him go well for the canny yard. SELECTION: Keen on #1 Real Easy.
