Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Canterbury, Sandown, Ipswich, Belmont & Gawler.

Sandown: Race 4 @ 2:10pm

Moderate pace with Patricia Anne rolling to the lead. LUNAR FLARE (2) was heavily-backed again missing the hat-trick by a nose at Cranbourne and gets the gear tweak. Oliver sticks and the promising middle-distance performer should be revisiting the winners circle. CLEMENTINA (1) wasn't far away resuming in stronger at The Valley over the mile and the longer trip suits. She gets the handy 2kg claim and draws to get a soft run. Expect her to be right in the finish. TYSONIC (3) rates well and hasn't been having the best of it. She won't be far away. COLLECTABLE (6) improved sharply here 17 days ago and deserves consideration first time at the trip. SELECTIONS: #2 Lunar Flair is promising and can bounce back from the unlucky defeat.

Gawler: Race 4 @ 3:00pm

Ken's Thunder and Armament can make the speed off low gates. KING AND KING (6) made sharp improvement third-up winning the Maiden heavily-bet. Races over further again and it suits. He will sit handy and can win again for the top yard. KEN'S THUNDER (3) runs along and best to forgive the latest at Bordertown. He led and won the Maiden here prior by a space and gets the handy gate and 3kg claim today. He's a genuine hope. BACK POCKET (1) is back in grade and the 2.3L defeat at Murray Bridge reads okay. The wide draw is against. ARMAMENT (5) led and folded up late in the King And King race. He draws well and can stick on better with a slightly quieter ride. SELECTIONS: This is a suitable progression for #6 King And King.

Ipswich: Race 6 @ 3:30pm

Strong early pace as Capeos and Maybach push to the lead with Okanagan Miss and Jochberg on their heels. ADDOCARR (3) backs up six days after finishing just 0.7 lengths from the winner over 1710m at this track in a Class 3. Yet to miss the top-three in seven runs at this track and at four runs at or around today's journey. Well in after the claim so ticks every box with an in-form Justin Huxtable to ride. JOCHBERG (2) was crowded in the straight and didn't finish the race off over a similar trip to this at Doomben last time out. That was his first attempt at this sort of distance so he should take a bit from the run. Down slightly in grade and capable of winning. OKANAGAN MISS (8) appreciated the step up in distance when a comfortable all-the-way winner over 1530m at this track recently. Untried at this trip but showed no sign of stopping last time. MAYBACH (1) ground out a tough first up win over the mile at the Sunshine Coast last start. Should hold that good form. SELECTIONS: #3 Addocarr a sound each-way bet in a competitive race.

Canterbury: Race 5 @ 3:45pm

Hot pace as Gunnamatta, Bombdiggity and I Stole Your Love have good early speed and expected to take up the running. Solid midweek event. STRIKE (11) showed a lot of promise late last year, winning well on debut before pulling up lame and spelling after the Wyong 2YO Classic. Has won each of his trials in readiness for this, leading throughout both occasions. Suspect he could take some beating and genuinely appeals at each way odds. HULK (6) lines up in the easiest race he has contested in some time. Won't know himself back to midweek level although that said, he couldn't of struck a much stronger event at this grade. DAMAGED (7) looked good winning his trial in readiness for this. Showed a lot of promise during his two-year-old season and can hit the ground running. GUNNAMATTA (9) returns from a freshen up. Trialled well behind subsequent up and coming stakes winner North Pacific in readiness. KARAJA (4) second up dropping in grade next best.  SELECTIONS: Can't ignore the each way quote about Strike.

Belmont: Race 7 @ 7:20pm

Fast early pace with Ladies Of London, Showzali and Jag The Joker all prominent. BORN TO TRY (3) brought very strong figures from the last campaign and did a good job beaten 2L first up for the new yard. She'd won a trial and has plenty up the sleeve. She will use the low gate and can win back in grade and with the winkers applied. LADIES OF LONDON (4) won on resumption and then led this grade beaten 1.3L. She's up 100m and will get every chance to bounce. SHOWZALI (6) improved again leading and winning the CL1 here and did it easy as an even money shot. She's a player but the 3kg claimer has to manage the wide gate. CAERHELAN (7) resumes and her trial suggests she will come back better. Keep an eye on the market. SELECTIONS: # 3 Born To Try makes strong appeal.
