Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 25.
Three TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Scone, Ballarat & Rockhampton.
Ballarat Synthetic: Race 5 @ 3:00pm
Written Advice, Frome The Stars and Foxy Azz can take up forward positions. INCAS (2) was wide placing here on debut and then came back and improved sharply winning the Maiden and impressed. She will get a soft run from the rail and fitter can win again for the star yard. ENCIRCLE (1) won the 58 here on resumption and did a big job. She gets the handy 3kg claim and no surprise if she stepped-up again and repeated. WRITTEN ADVICE (7) has raced well in stronger races than this and resumes off a low gate with Rawiller aboard. She may need one but is too good to risk. FOXY AZZ (4) resumes for a new yard and showed enough on debut to demand inclusion at each way odds. SELECTIONS: Backing the promising #2 Incas.

Scone: Race 3 @ 2:05pm
Little in the way of early pressure in a race devoid of an obvious leader. HOLY SUNDAY (2) has caught the eye at both runs since returning from a spell. Stepped up to the mile here three weeks ago when he knuckled down strongly to finish less than a length from the winner. Ready to peak today in a similar contest. SAPPHIRES SON (3) took 11 runs to break the maiden but did it in style last time out, sprinting quickly from the furlong to put 5.3 lengths on his rivals at the end of 1400m at Tamworth. Big chance again with the confidence up. DUNDEE (1) has been freshened up since finishing a dogged 3rd over 2350m at Newcastle seven weeks ago. Nicely in after the claim so could surprise. Last start maiden winner SEAWISE (6) is facing a far tougher test today but is lightly raced and open to plenty of improvement. SELECTIONS: #2 Holy Sunday on top in a good Class 1. Has come up quite short in early markets - suggest an all-up with Race 7 #11 Sequana.
Rockhampton: Race 7 @ 5:20pm
Expect Charles Seven to push forward and make the speed. CHARLES SEVEN (3) is a former Godolphin galloper who resumed for the new yard off city and provincial Maidens and led and won by a space. He was then heavily-bet again up to this trip and ran out of puff late finding one better. He will manage the tricky gate and reaching peak can bounce back into the winners stall. NAILED IT NAN (7) won well resuming at Mackay for the new barn as the market expected. She'd won a trial and has more to give keeping the hot jockey. STEPPED IN PAINT (2) was good resuming at Ipswich and just okay at Mackay after. She will be better for that run and has to be given a chance with a leading hoop riding from an advantageous gate. RAMROD (11) goes in the multiples at big odds. SELECTIONS: #3 Charles Seven has these covered at best.
