Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 27
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wagga, Mornington, Ipswich & Northam.
Ipswich: Race 4 @ 3:10pm
TRENGGANU (3) has returned in good order this campaign. Bolted in at Toowoomba first-up from a break and then bombed the start and was a tragedy beaten here a fortnight ago. He's got Patis on again to get some weight off and if he can jump cleanly his class should take care of the rest. DOLLY SPARTAN (2) has had the twelve starts and finished out of the placings once. Just two wins to show for it but he's clearly a must for the exotics. Maloney sticks and the 1200m is ideal. KATY'S DAUGHTER (1) for the multiples. SELECTIONS: Trengganu for the win.

Mornington Race 6 @ 3:30pm
Strong early tempo with Zipping Boy and Dratini vying for the lead. LAKE'S FOLLY (3) has failed to win heavily-backed the last three but is very well-placed in this line-up. He was only beaten a lip this grade the latest and draws well with a small claim. THE GAUCH (8) just missed resuming at this level and it was a tough effort. He has more to give off that and has the speed to manage the sticky gate. It's hard to risk the yard. ZIPPING BOY (9) also has to manage a sticky gate but there was a lot to like about his all-the-way win on debut. He has to find more, but looks capable fighting out the finish. THE EXECUTIONER (6) was better the latest and could win at best. He just has to find it. SELECTIONS: It’s hard to go past #3 Lakes Folly.
Wagga: Race 6 @ 4:05pm
Average pace as Zarsupreme likely to stride to the lead with Elenara and Jawwaal on his heels. JAWWAAL (1) won by the length of the straight at Albury last time out. 11L was the official margin and he wasn't stopping. Promised to do that for awhile. Sprint trips seem to be his forte. He's the testing material on exposed form. FLORA BEL (4) is a talent. Most disappointing as favourite at Canberra last start. She's right in this on best form and should get a smoother run from the draw. Back in grade. ROYAL MONARCH (7) is going well for the new stable. Chased gamely when third at Goulburn last start. Drawn out but should be respected. FASHION TIP (10) is good enough but struggling to win of late. SELECTIONS: Jawwaal gets the nod.
Northam: Race 4 @ 5:25pm
Perfect Harmony can work to the lead and set a strong tempo. UNDER THE RADAR (10) resumed off the Group 3 and missed a lip first-up at Kalgoorlie. She'd trialled well and the speedy galloper will get a soft run from the low gate today. She will be fitter and is the one to beat. WICKLOW PRINCESS (3) races at peak and rates well off the 1.7L defeat at Belmont. She also draws well and is a serious player. TIME STARTS NOW (1) hasn't been far away in town and will be at his best today. Draws out but is a hope. PRETTY FRIAR (5) resumes from the rail and will find this easier than Ascot. Expect her to be more forward this time around and the late market will tell. SELECTIONS: #10 Under The Radar is in a form yard and sits at the bottom of the weights. She’s a solid bet at the each way quote.
