Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Wyong, Donald, Rockhampton, Canberra & Darwin.

Wyong: Race 8 @ 5:10pm

Very strong early tempo as Partners, Destiny's Son and Toro Toro lead the way over Moccasin Miss and Rifles. TORO TORO (4) is a horse with nice promise. Progressed from a bush maiden to a provincial CL2 in three starts and went bang. Form around him is holding up. Recent trial indicates he hasn't gone backwards and he can make a winning return to racing. RIFLES (6) is building a handy profile. Sprinted off into the sunset at Newcastle over 900m last time out. Not as effective over anything above 1000m but he is to be respected. PARTNERS (1) is hard fit. He's gone to a new level this time in. Freshened and the placing to Varda two back is outstanding form for this. MOCCASIN MISS (12) and THE DRAKE (2) have place chances. SELECTIONS: Toro Toro to end proceedings.

Donald: Race 3 @ 2:00pm

Good early speed with Kumana and Global Wonder candidates to lead. OREGON PINOT (12) looked good the first preparation and resumes in easier grade for a leading yard. Expect her to have come on and she will take beating with the small claim. GLOBAL WONDER (10) led and placed first-up on the Moe heavy and has plenty up the sleeve. He draws to advantage and is ready to win for the red-hot yard. MAXAWAY (4) is a Kiwi resuming for the Alexander yard and has been gelded. He posted a strong figure placing on debut in NZ in an Open 2. He will use the low gate and has to be kept very safe. SANDBANKS (18) sneaks into the field with no rider notified. In the sharp yard and don't let him get under the guard. SELECTIONS: A good competitive race. #12 Oregon Pinot may just have the edge.

Canberra: Race 7 @ 4:15pm

Plenty of pace with Calescent and Whycatchim prominent on jumping. AMEARES (13) brought a solid city effort to resumption and missed a whisker at Goulburn before being caught wide without cover in the CL3 at Randwick when in the market. She will be fitter and back to the shorter sprint won't bother. Needs a good ride but McDougal is re-united and he's won on the mare. CALESCENT (6) just won that Goulburn race and then was on-speed again beaten 1.8L in the Kembla Grange 64. The 3kg claim is handy and she's feared on the 6-day turnaround. ONTHETAKE (14) has won and placed the last two in the country and expect the form to stack up. She could surprise at a good price. POLAR STAR (4) resumes with a 3kg claim for the Olive yard and needs to be kept well onside.  SELECTIONS: #13 Ameares has good figures for this and appeals as a solid each way play.

Darwin (Fannie Bay): Race 4 @ 5:45pm

Plenty of pace here with Vunivalu and Let's Celebrate leading Silver Melody. VUNIVALU (2) is fast and seeks the hat-trick. Gets the weight rise but keeps improving and can win again. PASEETO (1) was plain the latest but the 76 win prior reads well. He finally gets a low gate and can bounce for the leading yard. BULL MARKET (4) was also good as favourite two back and is also back in grade. He's a chance. SILVER MELODY (7) got a lot closer the latest and should get the extra 100m. Stablemate to Paseeto. SELECTIONS: #2 Vunivalu can go on with it. A touch of value at the current $3.60.
