Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Kembla Grange, Narromine, Echuca, Townsville & Northam.

Kembla Grange: Race 1 @ 1:25pm

Expecting Highmaster to lead California August at a genuine tempo. DEADLY IMPACT (1) looks a sharp type. He had one run last campaign for a win at Rosehill, defeating Rari by a nose. Now a gelding and with O'Halloran. He's had three strong trials to make an impression here first-up and Nash rides. HIGHMASTER (2) poses a threat. Led until the shadows behind a hype horse at Newcastle on resumption. Fitter/further are pluses and he'll give a sight for a long way here.CALIFORNIA AUGUST (5) is deep into a campaign. First go at the trip but gives the impression it'll suit. Should be finding the line. MEDIA STARGUEST (6) won a good form race here two starts ago. Untapped and back to the scene of the crime can bounce back. SELECTIONS: Deadly Impact in the opener.

Echuca: Race 5 @ 3:30pm

Good pace with Think Poised and Laundy leading with pressure. NO NEW TRICKS (6) has won two of the last three on the synthetic and keeps improving. Getting back to the grass shouldn't bother and he looks the one to beat with luck in the run. REGGAE ROC (7) seeks the hat-trick off the 58 and gets the weight drop. Draws to get a soft run and will get every chance to win again. JENKINS (3) keeps holding his form and can sit handier today from the low gate. He's always a chance at this level. LAUNDY (9) is up to this at best and has needed the two runs back. Draws well and Walker riding first time is a decent push. SELECTIONS:

Townsville: Race 6 @ 4:08pm

From wide out Lighthorse Lad will cross and set up a genuine tempo. LIGHTHORSE LAD (3) was just nudged-out late here 34 days ago seeking the hat-trick off easy wins. He has the speed to manage the sticky gate and the well-bred gelding can bounce for the hot Kenning yard. Open the rest. PANTONE (10) deserved the Cairns Maiden win and did it comfortably as favourite. He draws well and will get every chance to go on with it. URBAN MYTH (7) missed a lip here backing sharp improvement and then was wide at Cairns and didn't get into it. He peaks and will go a lot better today. HI ZERO (1) is on the quick return and won't be far away. SELECTIONS: #3 Lighthouse Lad is well-placed in this line up and is clearly the one to beat.

Northam: Race 3 @ 5:08pm

No obvious leader. A few sit handy but little early pressure. XAN BIO (7) has missed a lip the last two and didn't have the best of it as favourite the latest, she should of won. Draws to advantage and can go one better with Kennedy taking over. ADMIRED (4) was good third-up getting to the middle distance and will get every chance to build on that. He can win this finding his best. MISS MARANTA (6) improved again beaten 1.3L this course and trip and she will run it right out again. CHOOSE FREEDOM (2) also has claims on the 7-day back up. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #7 Xan Bio.
