Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 28.
Tamworth: Race 2 @ 2.10pm
Expecting a very fast pace with Prospero and Swara prominent. PROSPERO (3) resumed last start over 1200m at Tuncurry. Was handy on straightening but blundered badly and nearly tossed rider so wasn't ridden out fully in fourth placing. Has filled a top-three slot at all three starts over today's journey. Big chance with that run under the belt for the in-form Nathan Doyle stable. DELAVIGNE (5) is third up today. Better run last time when fifth, beaten 1.8 lengths, at Taree over 1300m. Should be at her top now so keep her firmly in mind. SWARA (9) comes out of a very strong form race here at this trip last start when beaten 2 lengths. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and should be in the finish. RINGO'S CHARM (4) disappointed here last start but from a better gate in a smaller field can bounce back to form. SELECTION: #3 Prospero to win.

Moe: Race 5 @ 3.00pm
Good pace with Helvetian the most likely to run them along. NICK'EM (3) ran along and made sharp improvement winning the Maiden easily this track. There was no fluke about that and he can win again keeping the 2kg claim. PRELIMINAIRES (5) resumes and deserves plenty of consideration. Missed a nose this grade at Sale three-back and has to be kept very safe with Egan booked to ride. IZZY GOOD (6) has been around the mark and won't be far away. HELVETIAN (8) resumes and goes well fresh. Keep him on-side along with SHOTGUN ROSIE (4) who is better than the form-line suggests. SELECTION: A tough program. #3 Nick'Em look a bet at the each way quote.
Belmont: Race 3 @ 4.12pm (AEST)
Looks a solid tempo with He's A Gunslinger leading. NOTORIOUS ONE (6) brought sharp trials to the debut here and won by a space at even-money. He's promising and looks capable of going right on with it. SEA WAR (5) will be improved off the two runs back and has plenty up the sleeve. He had excuses the latest and can make sharp improvement briefly freshened and drawn to advantage. BOBCAT JOHNNIE (3) has been knocking on the door and is capable of making the placings. MEXI COLA (2) resumes for a sharp yard and put two together near the back on the last preparation. Watch the betting moves closely. SELECTION: #6 Notorious One will be well-fancied but can win and go on.
Leeton: Race 6 @ 5.05pm
Strong early tempo with Three Rar and Olifants matching motors. SOCIAL SMILE (6) was fresh from a two-month layoff when a dominant winner over 900m at Queanbeyan last time, coming just off a hot pace on straightening and letting down impressively. Only goes up 1.5 kgs so with added fitness is expected to measure up again. OLIFANTS (5) hasn't made an impression in his last few starts despite the market confidence. Showed pace but tired to finish ninth over 1000m at Canberra last start. Rates well here on best form so worth one more chance with the senior jockey going on. HONEYSUCKLE CHOICE (4) returns from a five-month break. Has a win and two placings from four first-up runs. Key runner. MOUSE ALMIGHTY (1) was ridden more forward and finished just a length away last start over 1000m at Corowa. Fitter for two runs back and is right in the mix. SELECTION: #6 Social Smile stole the show last time and can win again.
