Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on September 29
Three TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Grafton, Swan Hill & Townsville.
Grafton: Race 7 @ 4:40pm
Echo Lad expected to work to the lead at a strong tempo. VIVENDO IL SOGNO (5) settled last in a small field and never threatened when a 4 length sixth of six at Doomben last time. Won't find this quite as tough. McGuren back on is a key booking - he is yet to miss the top-three aboard this gelding. Can return to winning form. NORTHERN KNIGHT (2) returns from a 20-week break. Has a win and a placing from three first up appearances. Performed well at this level last prep so should be about the money. REXX (4) led into the straight before tiring and finishing ninth in a 1400m Highway at Rosehill recently. This is a far easier essay so from a nice gate he is right in the mix. MOUNT HEIDI (9) struggled in open company at Murwillumbah last start but can bounce back in this more suitable contest. SELECTIONS: Backing #5 Vivendo Il Sogno to return to winning form.

Swan Hill: Race 3 @ 3:00pm
Derugle Diamond and Confrontational look the pair to run them along. CONFRONTATIONAL (11) has been busting to win including in town. He should have the speed to manage the wide gate and Callow's booking helps in that regard. Missed 1L as favourite at Cranbourne the latest and is the one they have to beat. HELEVA DEEL (12) is a quick improver back to the grass off a near miss. Gets the blinkers first time and is a threat. ART MAJOR (1) is also third-up and has more to give at the mile. Gets a soft run from the rail and the winkers are on again. ETOILE BRILLANTE (8) didn't have much luck resuming and has more up the sleeve. The mile suits and keep her on-side. SELECTIONS: Backing Confrontational.
Townsville: Race 4 @ 3:45pm
Expecting Lucky In Life to find the lead but plenty of pressure behind. ARTEMIS GIRL (8) debuted at the Gold Coast for the sharp yard and didn't miss by far. Has switched to the Bell barn and she rates to win this with the extra fitness on a 16-day return. COLLOMBATTI (3) placed here resuming for the new yard matching his best. He draws well and keeps the handy 3kg claim. He's a player with the extra fitness. CRACKER ESSGEE (4) has placed the last three and was heavily-bet at Cairns the latest pulling up with an issue. Is back after 18 days and won't be far away. PLENTY OF TICKER (14) got close the latest but needs to show she can get the 1200m. SELECTIONS: Backing Artemis Girl.
