Taking a line through Star Of The Seas, it's hard to suggest this year is an overly strong Epsom. Great betting race, but when you consider Star Of The Seas was sent out 12-1 last year and 20-1 in the Doncaster, now a year on he is favourite and almost topweight, it highlights a lack of a star 4YO male. Nonetheless the fact Star Of The Seas is favourite, emphasises just how well Rock is placed. Read More

Flemington: Race 7 @ 3:45pm
The Turnbull meeting is a major fork in spring carnvial road with key trials for several of the springs major prizes taking place. The Turnbull has long been a key trial for both Cups and the Cox Plate and the favourite in 2020, Verry Elleegant, is out to set herself right ahead of a likely tilt at both the Cox Plate and the Melbourme Cup. She was below her best in the George Main up in Sydney last time but they completed the mile course in a remarkably sharp 1:33.30 there and it looks a simple case of things unfolding too quickly for Verry Elleegant who is better served by stiffer test of stamina rather than a resistence-free speed battle over a very slick mile. Eagle Farm: Race @ 2:57pm
It took a classy sprinter to beat Usmanov first up but he finds a more winnable assignment at Eagle Farm on Saturday. The Team Edmonds gelding was no match for topliner Zoustyle when resuming over 900m but there was still plenty to like about the performance when he chased well for second. This race doesn't have that depth and the step up to 1000m suits Usmanov having won two of five attempts at the trip. Read More
Morphettville Parks: Race 5 @ 2:46pm
There might be some value for each way players rather than straight out on the Parks track this week. Mid-way through the card, Dimaggio can rebound to run a big race back to the 1000m. He ran into Instant Celebrity first up giving her plenty of weight. His form when last in work was very good. Read More
Kalgoorlie: Race 8 @ 4:45pm
Belmont has ended as it is Kalgoorlie Cup day on Saturday before heading back to Ascot. It would only be right to pick one out in the Cup and Friar Fox comes off a last start win. In fact very few of these have been in the winner's stall for a while.The Blackfriars mare was first up in the Coolgardie Cup and charged home from last to just miss. Read More
