Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Newcastle, Queanbeyan, Kyneton, Townsville & Penola.

Newcastle: Race 5 @ 4:25pm

Plenty of pace here as Much Much Better and Microna lead Unamerican. MUCH MUCH BETTER (10) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings. Settled on the speed in a small field over 1550m at Canterbury last time only to find one better in the sprint to the line. Still a maiden but the good recent city performances will stack up. The one to beat for the in-form combination of John O'Shea and Tommy Berry. UNAMERICAN (3) was sent out favourite last time but lacked the turn of foot required when a close fifth over 1600m at Wyong. Needs the extra trip desperately so he looks a great chance to repay punters. MICRONA (7) registered his third minor placing in the last four starts when narrowly beaten at Wyong over the mile recently. Will race handy and is sure to be tough to reel in. KIM ALICIA (5) was fourth last start over 2000m at Kembla Grange, beaten 4.1 lengths. Very fit and has each-way claims. SELECTIONS: #10 Much Much Better with the weight pull can get away with this. #7 Microna at double-figure odds is worth a saver.

Kyneton: Race 5 @ 2:10pm

Solid tempo with All Fairy Prince running them along with some pressure. OPOHO DREAMING (13) led at Mornington just beaten in much stronger class and is primed to win. Peaks now and has the speed to make short work of the sticky gate. She's clearly the one to beat. ONE FOR ROCKY (4) seeks the hat-trick off the near-miss at Kilmore. Draws well and is a danger. CYCLONE TIM (5) just missed in the same race off the 58 win at Hamilton. He won't be far away again. HIGH DONE (1) needed the run resuming in stronger and has plenty up the sleeve. He performs second-up and keep on side. SELECTIONS: #13 Opoho Dreaming is well-placed by the Moroney yard to be winning.

Queanbeyan: Race 2 @ 2:15pm

Looks a tactical race on paper with not much early speed evident. REDICON (4) has placed twice since the win this grade and comes home for this off a stronger Maiden. He gets a soft run from the rail and McDougall's booking is a big plus. Clearly the one to beat. ASTIR (7) improved sharply winning the CL1 at Wagga at the mile. He won't be far away building on that. TRAPPER TOM (3) won and placed after at Canberra and then found Open grade a bit tough. Needs a good ride but gets his chance on the 9-day return. LEAD CHOREOGRAPHER (1) made sharp improvement winning the latest and is in the mix holding that form. SELECTIONS: Expecting #Redicon to have an edge.

Townsville: Race 6 @ 6:05pm AEDT

Expecting Algeroba and Goldie's Archer to find the lead but under plenty of pressure. CADENCE (11) came from a minute back to get up for third over this course and distance last start, making it two placings in a row. Hasn't broken through this track and trip yet but is knocking on the door. Gets her chance off the back of a frantic tempo. GOLDIE'S ARCHER (12) led into the straight before fading to finish fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 1100m at Mackay last time out. Good record at this journey and with the light weight is a leading contender. ALGEROBA (1) worked hard in front and battled on fairly when a 1.7 lengths fifth over this course and distance recently. Speedy gelding who will give backers a sight again. GOLDEN CHARLES (4) raced on the speed and kept finding when second, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 950m at Cairns last start. Strips fitter so worth each-way consideration. SELECTIONS: #11 Cadence each-way at very nice odds.
