Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on October 19

Two TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Monday at Muswellbrook & Mornington.  

Mornington: Race 7 @ 4:00pm

Grey Detective and Our Musketeer can set a strong gallop. HUMMALONG (6) races handy and missed a lip heavily-bet before delivering the Maiden win here in stronger than this. She will keep improving and should have these covered despite the weight rise. OUR MUSKETEER (5) is quick and resumes off a heavily-bet provincial Maiden win and deserved that. He draws well with a handy claim and won't have to be much improved to be a serious player. GREY DETECTIVE (7) led and won the Swan Hill Maiden easily on debut. Has the speed to manage the sticky gate and the colt looks capable of taking the next step. MISTER MONARO (3) led and won the Maiden at Tatura and won't be far away.  SELECTIONS: A good contest but #6 Hummalong ticks most boxes in a good contest.

Muswellbrook: Race 6 @ 4:15pm

Pace genuine with Poet Lad booting up on the fence to hold the lead. AEROBATIC WARRIOR (7) won a Randwick trial and then placed at Canberra on debut before recording the Maiden win here as expected. Keeps Penza and can go right on with it for the strong Sydney yard. POET LAD (8) was quickly back to form winning the Tamworth Maiden for the new yard and has more to give. Uses the rail and is a genuine each way play. ROY'S COMMAND (5) resumes in Open grade and can make quick improvement back to this level. Gets the low gate and claim and deserves plenty of consideration. APACHE DUDE (12) has been racing solidly without winning and won't be far away in light with the claim. SELECTIONS: #7 Aerobatic will be fitter and can repeat in this line-up.
