Smart Design can run them along at a reasonable clip. SMART DESIGN (3) won the Maiden by a space off a string of placings and then led again beaten 1L at Echuca. Was heavily-bet in that and can bounce back drawn well and keeping the handy claim. REDNECK PRINCESS (10) raced handy winning the Echuca Maiden fourth-up at even-money and her form stacks right up. Draws to get a soft-on-pace run and is a definite player. PONGA (2) was out-graded resuming at The Valley but has more to give and expect him to make the finish. OURZACRACKER (7) is a second-up winner who can also improve fitter in this line-up. SELECTION: The best bets today are very short. #3 Smart Design should have an edge in Race 8.

Grafton: Race 6 @ 4:15pm
Strong early tempo with La Cronica, Find The Beat and Holiday In Dubai running them along. The strong Matt Dunn yard has a strong hand. UPRISE (2) peaks off three near-misses and was backed off the map at Grafton the latest. He has the speed to manage the sticky gate and is ready to win. Stablemate LE FIGARO (4) had trialled well and placed resuming heavily-bet. She has plenty to give and can improve sharply with McGuren going on. HOLIDAY IN DUBAI (3) has placed 4/5 and was good resuming. She will be better for that, but needs a good ride from the claimer from the wide gate. ROSE BOUQUET (12) debuts off a Ballina trial win and keep a close eye on the late market. Ditto ROSE BOUQUET (12) who has also trialled well for the debut. SELECTION: This is a tough program. In Race 6 wary the debutants but #2 Uprise looks a bet with the race fitness and at good each way odds.
