Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on October 27
Three TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Grafton, Newcastle & Swan Hill.
Newcastle: Race 6 @ 4:25pm
Not much pace with Mosht Up likely to find the lead. LEISA LOUISE (4) just missed twice as favourite before the spell and then was well-trialled before just beaten as favourite first-up. The heavy track form reads well and she will have come on. She can win for the leading local yard. HIT THE HIGH NOTE (2) raced better than the market suggested at Gosford in stronger grade. Expect him to sit handier today and improve quickly with the 3kg claim. LUCKY BANNER (5) was plain the latest but the Scone win prior stacks up and he can't be ruled out with the claim. MOSHT UP (3) missed a nose here two back in stronger and will be in the finish with a repeat of that. SELECTIONS: #4 Leisa Louise has more to give and gets conditions to suit.

Swan Hill: Race 3 @ 2:30pm
A genuine tempo with the speedy Rose Cuvee running them along. WHO'S YOUR PAPY (14) gets the outside gate but impressed beaten 1.2L at Ballarat on debut. Raced four-wide without cover in that and fitter can win in the country for a star yard. HELMITON (13) came to this trip for the first time and placed after a tough run. He may sit closer today and is a genuine hope racing at peak. RUSSIAN FIGHTER (5) will also be at his best and has been knocking on the door. Draws well and is a decent chance. ROSE CUVEE (11) has placed the three runs back and will control the race. Has to get the mile but is a player if she does. SELECTIONS: #14 Who’s Your Papy will have come on and this suits.
Grafton: Race 5 @ 4:20pm
Decent size field but lacks early pace so only expect a moderate tempo. ALCIDES (1) is a former Victorian back after 35 days for the new yard. Is back in trip but wins this comfortably at best and the late market will say if the Payne stable has him on song. LEGATO FEELING (9) resumed off a long break for the Dunn yard and pulled up with an issue. Trialled sharply after that and then just missed second-up when expected to need it. Draws to advantage and should go close with the extra fitness and McGuren going on. DESMOS (14) rates well and just missed at Gunnedah the latest. Has been threatening but the gate is against. PRINCE ARLI (7) didn't have much luck here second-up and then placed close-up at Taree. Needs a good ride but is in the mix. FLICK (8) rates similarly off the Lismore placing and also has claims using the rails draw. SELECTIONS: #1 Alcides looks a decent bet at the each way odds.
