Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on November 10
Three TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Gosford, Hamilton & Townsville.
Gosford: Race 4 @ 3:20pm
Expecting That's Better to take up the running at a genuine tempo. THAT'S BETTER (5) led and fought on well to finish second over 1000m at this track when first up from a spell on a heavy track. That was only his second race start, and the first since a gelding op. Sure to improve and will give a bold sight again. BLACK SAGE (1) is first up after almost a year away from racing and has transferred to the Ryan/Alexiou stable. Placed over this trip at Sale to kick off last prep on debut. Has won a couple of recent trials so looks set for a bright return. STUMPED (10) is back from a 24-week spell for Team Hawkes. Only raced twice in the maiden campaign, with a third on debut at Sandown the highlight. Serious threat. CHILLIWACK (6) returns from a six-month spell for Godolphin. Raced twice last prep and bumped into Anders and Peltzer. Must be respected. SELECTIONS: A few promising types from heavy-hitting stables lining up - leaning the way of #5 That's Better who can dictate.

Hamilton: Race 6 @ 4:00pm
No noted lead and it looks a moderate tempo only. SHIFTY SHAMUS (2) missed a whisker resuming and has strong figures in the back-form from stronger races. Fitter he can take this out for the Laurie yard. THE MOORS (1) missed a nose second-up at Swan Hill easily running his best race. Draws low with a 2kg claim and won't have to improve much to be a genuine chance. BOSSY BRITCHES (4) resumed in good order at Naracoorte and don't easily discount his South Australian form. Needs a good Yendall ride but can be right in the finish. OFF PEAK (6) was expected to win at Mortlake and missed a half-length. She's in the mix. SELECTIONS: A fitter #2 Shifty Shamus is the one to beat.
Townsville Race 7 @ 6:35pm
Lots of speed here with Future Dreams and Past Ready setting up a hot early pace. MODERNISM (10) needed the run first up at Cairns and then the money came and he won the Maiden easily this venue. That reads strongly for this contest and she can repeat with another good ride from the hot jockey. URBAN MYTH (5) is threatening and is good enough at best. Gets the big weight drop at this level and a soft run from the rail. DOUBLE MAJOR (1) is ex Sydney and back after 33 days for the new yard. Gets the blinkers first time and low gate and no surprise if he turns the form around. FUTURE DREAMS (8) is quick and improved sharply just missing behind Pantone in the 55. He'll cross over and be in it for a long way. SELECTIONS: #10 Modernism has a future and can go on with it.
