Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on November 11
Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Hawkesbury, Bendigo, Ipswich, Ascot, Murray Bridge & Launceston.
Hawkesbury: Race 7 @ 4:55pm
Looks a solid tempo as Archedemus strides to the front. MILITARY ZONE (3) was making some late ground first up in the Sydney Stakes. Has since been kept ticking over with a Randwick trial. Performed well through the autumn with solid closing efforts in both the Scone Cup and the Eagle Farm Mile. Tends to do a lot of his best work second up with three wins from five starts at that point of his campaign. LOOKS LIKE ELVIS (2) disappointed at Randwick last start after running a big race at odds there in the Epsom Handicap. Underrated galloper who deserves more respect in betting than he gets. ARCHEDEMUS (5) has visors applied for the first time after fading out of things second up at Randwick last start. Lone prior visit to this course returned a win. SAVACOOL (6) next best back in trip. Returns to this course and distance after winning the Rowley Mile here in August. Is in foal and winding down her race career. Capable of wrapping it up with a win. SELECTIONS: Lean to Military Zone each way.

Murray Bridge: Race 2 @ 12:50pm
Club Double has enough pace to take up the running from his wide draw. SPARKUP (10) is ready to win off the two city placings in stronger city grade. Draws well and the blinkers go on first time. In good hands and should be saluting. CLUB DOUBLE (2) peaks for the Stokes yard off three placings and there was only 1L in it here the latest this trip. Should have the speed to manage the outside gate but that's the query. CELTIC VALOUR (7) will be better for the two runs back and he was heavily- bet the latest in the south east. He's in the mix at a big price. CAPRICORN RIDGE (6) just missed here before the break and placed resuming as a well-bet favourite. That gate is against but fitter he has claims. SELECTIONS: #10 Sparkup is well-placed and should have them covered.
Ipswich: Race 3 @ 4:00pm (AEDT)
SHADOW OF TIME (2) showed good early speed last time over 1300m at Sunshine Coast, leading for much of the way before sticking on well to finish second. That was good improvement on the resuming effort and is proven third up. Ready to win. GREAT KEPPELL (1) is racing well. Was a narrow winner two back at Gold Coast then was in the placings last time at Doomben. Expected to be competitive. V J DAY (3) drops back from city class and has a good record at this distance with a win and two placings from four starts. Among the leading chances. DOLLSON (5) deserved the last-start win after a string of placings. Respect. SELECTIONS: #2 Shadow Of Time to peak and win third up.
Bendigo: Race 8 @ 5:05pm
Expecting Red Octane to show enough dash to cross over and set up a genuine tempo. FUNDRAISER (10) was slow off and wide when placing on resumption as favourite and it was a good effort. He draws low today and will be positioned on-pace. He has plenty up the sleeve and will take beating. BOOM BOOM BECKER (3) has won the last two easily and keeps getting better. He can come over and box-seat and is a genuine chance. RED IMPULSE (14) wasn't beaten far in Open grade at Benalla and three winners have come out of that. Gets the rail and the claim and can win without surprising. CHASE AWARD (4) will be fitter and is capable but the wide gate cruels. SELECTIONS: #10 Fundraiser is promising and fitter can salute.
