Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 16.
Scone: Race 8 @ 5:40pm
Expecting Peggy's Time to set a genuine tempo. THE FIRST OF MAY (1) resumes for the hot Morgan yard with the 3kg claim. Missed a nose first-up here three-back and owns a 7L trial win for the resumption. Draws well and expect her to have come on and take beating. LADY PATRICIA (3) is a local who won the Maiden by a space and then placed at this level after as a well-bet favourite. Fitter and she's feared with the blinker applied first time. ELEAZAR (5) has been racing well without winning and won't be far away drawn well with the claim. DAWNSTAR (11) just went under the latest and is in the mix holding that form and with a good Ryan ride. SELECTION: #1 The First Of May wins if on-song.

Taree: Race 3 @ 2:50pm
Fast early pace with Superstasia and Bovalino the most prominent. REJINSKY (2) resumes off Listed company and won the Wyong Maiden prior first-up as expected. Brings a big Gosford trial win and the leading hoop sticks from that. Has been away a while but can be winning. STANDING BEAR (6) missed a lip resuming off a long break and then raced favourite at Kempsey and disappointed. He will use the low gate and a bounce wouldn't surprise. STAR RAIDER (1) is in good hands and missed a whisker at Kempsey off the strong effort at Scone. Gets a soft run from the rail and is a player. LITTLE WONDER (10) is racing well and won't be far away. SELECTION: Backing #2 Rejinsky if the market stays with him.
Bairnsdale: Race 9 @ 5:00pm
Expect a solid tempo. PING PING (5) was beaten 1L second-up at Pakenham improving again. He will be right on the pace from the low gate and rates the hardest hard to beat. CHANGING TRACKS (9) presented fitter and deserved the Cranbourne Maiden win. Needs a good Callow ride but won't have to improve much to be a genuine chance. CURIOUS HEART (11) resumed in good order and has more to give. Draws low and can be right in the finish. TUGGA WAR (12) missed a lip resuming as favourite and then led and faded after and prepared to forgive. The blinkers come off and he will get every chance riding the speed from the rail. TROUBLESHOT (1) resumes and is capable. Finds easier and is a hope if presented ready to go. SELECTION: #5 Ping Ping looks a bet at the healthy each way quote.
