Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on November 18
Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Wyong, Mornington, Ipswich, Ascot, Strathalbyn & Launceston.
Ipswich: Race 5 @ 4:40pm AEDT
Solid early tempo as I Am A Rocker and Royal Sheen lead the way over Flirty Mccoy. DIVINE DIVA (4) was a dominant winner last time over 1666m at this track, coming from worse than midfield in the small field with an explosive finish to win by 5 lengths. Tackles a similar race today with the same weight. Difficult to tip against her on that basis. ROYAL SHEEN (3) was a most impressive winner last time over 1500m at Kilcoy, taking over a long way out to win a Class 1 by 5 lengths. Down 4 kgs after the claim but this is a stiffer test by far. Progressive four-year-old who is likely to feature. ELOTROLADO (7) has been in the quinella at all four runs this prep, including a very close second in a Class 4 over 1510m here recently. Back in grade and will be hard to toss. EDINBURGH (6) worked home steadily to finish midfield when resuming last start over 1350m at this track. Former Victorian with a good second-up record so worth keeping in mind. SELECTIONS: The in-form #4 Divine Diva is beautifully placed and should be winning again.

Wyong: Race 4 @ 3:35pm
Expecting Designer Maid and Margie Bee to find the lead but with some pressure. CATHAY (1) resumes seeking the hat-trick off provincial wins and the promising galloper has trialled well. Draws for a soft run on-pace and will have come on. The one to beat. RUNNING FOUR BUB (3) missed the hat-trick in the CL3 at Goulburn when expected to win. The O'Shea yard have applied the blinkers first time and could bounce into the winners stall without surprising. MISS SURE SHOT (4) resumes for Team Snowden off two trial warmers and draws to advantage. She may need one but is right up to this at best and watch the late market closely. SHE'S INDEPENDENT (5) seeks the hat-trick off 58 wins in the country and can make the first-four. SELECTIONS: #1 Cathay can keep things rolling and the soft won’t bother.
Launceston: Race 5 @ 7:45pm
The speedy Silkstone is likely to find the front here with Brimondo and Bandinelli hot on his heels. SILKSTONE (2) has just missed twice since the 64 win and keeps improving. Reaches peak fitness and should be winning with the in-form McCoull replacing the apprentice. ALINJER (4) posted his best figure winning the 60 at Hobart before spelling. Placed resuming at that level and is sharp second-up. A chance. FIGHTING PHOENIX (7) resumes off the CL3 win and has trialled well. Draws to advantage and keep very safe, LESNAR (3) resumes and has won 3/6 fresh and only missed a place once. He's trialled well and gets the handy 3kg claim. Has been away for a while but looks ready to go. ETHICAL DILEMMA (1) brings strong synthetic form to resumption. Will race over further but goes first-up and has won this trip. SELECTIONS: Keen on #2 Silkstone who is up and running.
