ASCOT: RACE 8 @ 7:50PM (AEST)

Good speed with Gailo Chop, Too Close The Sun, Trap For Fools and Gemma's Son all going forward. Watch Me Dance will be handy. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL (12) is the new star of WA racing and while she has a horror gate she has a big finish and will use it to storm over the top of them if she gets any luck in running. TOO CLOSE THE SUN (4) is worse off at the weights for giving the favourite a fright in the Railway but will be in front of her again in the run and could take catching. WATCH ME DANCE (16) is a top filly who beat the boys in the WA Guineas and that gives her a shot. UNI TIME (10) and NEUFBOSC (6) are upset chances. SELECTIONS: Inspirational Girl to win.

ROSEHILL: RACE 2 @ 1:45PM

Expecting Ellsberg to lead Instant Attraction at a genuine tempo. ELLSBERG (8) proved very game in defeat last start when forced to do plenty of work after making a mess of the start. Stuck on gamely behind The Elanora and should appreciate the drop back in grade. Clark takes over and the blinkers (near side) go on for the first time. Should lead and win. PAPAL WARRIOR (3) closed off well enough first up and while he hasn't done a lot of winning (1/13), he is rarely far away and he looks well treated in this grade. TOSCANINI (7) is unbeaten this time in and is certainly trending the right way. Bayliss sticks and he has to be respected, while last start winner INSTANT ATTRACTION (4) appears the next in line. SELECTIONS: Very keen on Ellsberg.

PAKENHAM: RACE 8 @ 5:15PM

Not a great deal of speed on paper. Amadeus and Wild Vixen should be up there and The Astrologist can be handy. THE ASTROLOGIST (5) got out of his ground and was left closing when it was all too late at Ballarat when he was back in trip. Perhaps 1400m is what he is looking for and with little obvious pressure around he should have no trouble laying up handy to the pace. Has the form to win it. WILD VIXEN (8) was no match in the Heffernan but is far better suited here. Will run well. OCULAR (12) draws another awkward gate. Probably means he goes back and spots them a start but he continues to front up and race really well. Did everything he could from where he was last time. GALAXY RAIDER (3) is another that will be back and needs luck but the talent is there. Can't ignore the well performed ICONOCLASM (1) in a race like this. SELECTIONS: The Astrologist can get this to set up well for him.

DOOMBEN: RACE 6 @ 4:23PM

Expecting Galtero and Free Fly Too to roll forward and dictate the tempo. SO YOU WIN (3) has relished the switch to Queensland. Ran on well for a win at this course and distance then chased hard again and missed by just a nose when back to the mile last time. Should enjoy the longer journey again and looks hard to hold out. GET STUCK IN (4) flies third up having won all four previous attempts. Showed improvement last start and gets the favours from the inside draw. Could threaten. STAR OF MICHELIN (13) found winning form last start. Tries the longer trip for the first time but will be at his peak fourth up. GREY LION (1) was a Listed winner over 2200m here two back. Must respect. FREE FLY TOO (9) will enjoy getting back up to the longer journey. Each way hope. SELECTIONS: Backing So You Win straight out and Get Stuck In each way.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 8 @ 5:26PM (AEST)

Pressure on from the start as Little Rich Boy, Irish Mint and Big Effort work to the lead. LI'L KONTRA (2) is the best horse here and if she runs to that she can win again. She ran in the Goodwood and was hardly horrible against the elite. Her only issue could be the draw but she just needs to get out in time. LITTLE RICH BOY (9) was much improved when down in grade last week. If he can build on that he will be around the finish. THE CRUSHA (6) has been consistent much of the time. This is his right journey. BIG EFFORT (4) needs a win after a long time off but loves this course. SELECTIONS: Staying on Li'l Kontra.
