Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on December 6.

Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings today are held at Hawkesbury, Nowra, Werribee, Sunshine Coast, Pinjarra, Murray Bridge and Alice Springs.

NOWRA: RACE 4 @ 3:00PM

Off the low draw Forged In Stone likely to quickly find the front and set a genuine tempo. Some handy types to do battle. Forged In Stone (2) is a talent. Brave in defeat from the wide draw at Taree most recently. Racing like this distance will suit and he has a nice affinity with Chad Lever. SUPER VINO (3) toughed it out to score at Gosford last start. Makes his own luck and demands respect. WAR DECK (5) and BENFICA MAID (1) both have place claims. SELECTIONS: Forged In Stone gets the nod.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 3 @ 2:50PM

No obvious leader in a race that lacks much early pressure on paper. Outlook (3) made nice late ground here on debut behind Whatsin. That horse is expected to be winning again at Mudgee on Friday. This girl will gain plenty from the experience and will be sharpened up with the blinkers going on. Hard to beat. SONIC TYCOON (1) is a debutant by leading sire Written Tycoon. Couple trials in town have him readied up for this. In a good yard and should perform boldly. DYNAMIC IMPACT (8) and SHE'S JUSTIFIED (11) both have place claims. SELECTIONS: Outlook straight out.

WERRIBEE: RACE 9 @ 5:50PM

Early tempo looks genuine with Bossdom likely to be prominent from Vegas Boulevard, Oneforthebrothers and Nangawooka drawn the outside gate. Brazen Song (9) looks ready to win here third up and out to this trip. She raced consistently through the Winter in good quality races and looks well placed here. QUAIL HOLLOW (6) broke his Maiden in good fashion at Sandown last preparation when first up. This distance suits and he can settle handy from a middle draw. He looks a good each way bet fresh. BOSSDOM (5) is lightly raced and progressive having won his Maiden narrowly last start with a good gap to third. He can handle the rise in class here. PART TIME LOVER (14) is talented on her day but hard to catch. She looks suited back to this grade third up and a win wouldn't surprise. REVLIS (2) wasn't disgraced first up in a stronger race behind Titan Blinders. Expect further improvement here. Include in the exotics. SELECTIONS: Siding with Brazen Song in the last.

Murray Bridge Race 3 @ 2:45pm

No designated leader and a moderate gallop at best. Shadow Boom (9) placed twice in town before missing a lip at Strathalbyn. The Stokes-trained galloper rates strongly and she can record the deserved win over the longer sprint. GO BOO BOO (6) placed on the same day and has more up the sleeve. Peaks now and should be in the finish. DALAKARA (2) has needed the two runs back and keeps Pannell. Is good enough and gets the low gate and the nose roll on for the winkers. WONGABELLE (7) is also third-up and may prove next best. SELECTIONS: Expecting the filly #9 Shadow Boom to be too good.

Pinjarra Race 3 @ 5:10pm

Expecting Warchino to lead Icarian at a genuine tempo. Frequent Friar (1) just missed twice this trip before just going under up to a middle distance. Back to the mile shouldn't bother and the on-pacer is advantaged by the rail. In good hands and is ready to win. THEHUNTSMEN (3) was wide resuming and will be better for the outing. He has good figures at the mile and can make quick improvement. ONE FOR THE ROAD (6) gets back but came home well beaten 1L at Bunbury improving sharply on the Ascot debut. Had trialled consistently well before that and won't be far away with another good ride. CHOOSE FREEDOM (2) is knocking on the door and gets another chance. SELECTIONS: #1 Frequent Friar gets his chance in this line-up.
