Ten TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Canterbury, Murwillumbah, Scone, Warren, Geelong, Moe, Moonee Valley, Doomben, Albany & Port Lincoln.

Canterbury: Race 4 @ 7:15pm

NIGHT OF POWER (2) resumed with a second at the Gong meeting held at Kembla Grange on November 21. Produced that effort in his first run since being gelded. Early signs are the 'gear change' will pay dividends quickly. Will be fitter and has an excellent second up record. Also proven at the course. Easy to like. ON THE WHITE TURF (6) drops back to a slightly easier race after struggling at Rosehill. Two runs back won at this course and distance. Form out of the race has since held up through placegetter Criminal Code who won at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. COME ALONG (3) has improved with each run this prep and last start won over 1500m at Rosehill. TOCHI (5) is a track specialist having won three of her five starts around Canterbury. Safely held first up at Kembla Grange. Expecting much more second run from a spell and out to this distance. SELECTIONS: Can't go past Night Of Power.

Geelong: Race 5 @ 3:20pm

Expecting Zakurak to find the lead with some pressuring. ROGUE STAR (1) was spelled after the debut win and was slow off and wide beaten 1.6L at Bendigo on return. He uses the low draw and can win with John Allen taking over. ZAKURAK (4) runs along and impressed first-up as favourite winning the 53 by a space. He has more to offer and draws to advantage. OLYMPIC LAD (3) resumed 36 days ago an easy 58 winner and has been saved for this. Will need some luck pushing forward from the sticky gate. SHAME SHAME SHAME (5) presents first-up off the synthetic Maiden win and is sure to have come on. In good hands and keep very safe at a price. SELECTIONS: #1 Rogue Star is promising and gets the nod.

Doomben: Race 3 @ 4:55pm (AEDT)

THE DARLING (11) was most impressive when leading throughout when resuming to score by 3L over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. Has plenty to upside so could go on with it. COTTON FIELDS (8) resumes after 10 months but showed ability in a brief maiden campaign including a debut win. Readied with two trials. Keep her safe. SOUBRETTE (6) is in winning form, scoring an all-the-way win by one length over this journey at Sunshine Coast. Respect. SELECTIONS: #11 The Darling to win again.

Warren: Race 6 @ 6:25pm

Expecting Patrick May to lead Boult but only a moderate tempo. ON A PROMISE (8) is hard to go past. He's been a model of consistency since joining the Brett Robb stable. Brave in defeat from the wide alley at Coonamble a fortnight ago. He'll get the suck run this afternoon and all his best form has come over 1400m. Ticks plenty of boxes. PATRICK MAY (1) came with a well-timed burst to get the cash last time out. Was a warm favourite on that occasion and can take the next step here. Is a winner here in the past just needs to lump the weight to be competitive. OAKFIELD GENERAL (5) hasn't won for some time but he produced a better effort last start. Exotics chance. ZAMALI (6) and BID TO FAME (7) best of the remainder. SELECTIONS: On A Promise straight out in the final event.

Moonee Valley: Race 8 @ 10:00pm

Strong early tempo headed by Reward With Return and Filip's Star. FILIP'S STAR (5) has filled minor placings at the last two runs, finishing strongly to wind up a very close second over this distance at Kilmore last time out. This is his optimum trip with three wins from six starts. Cherry-ripe now after three runs back from a spell and is ready to win. CIELO D'ORO (10) returned from a 29-week spell with a devastating 4.3 lengths win over 1212m at Kyneton recently. Up in grade but is clearly back in great order and has improvement to come. One of the primary contenders. EVENING GLORY (4) is back from a 24-week spell. Generally comes to hand pretty quickly. Gets a long way back in his races but can put in a big final split. Each-way hope. FORCE (11) is a Hong Kong import first up for Dabernig/Hayes and to be ridden by D Oliver. Has never fired when fresh in the past but keep him in mind in the new environment. SELECTIONS: Very keen to be with #5 Filip's Star in the last at around $5 in early markets.
