Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 12.
Randwick: Race 9 @ 5.40pm
NEW ARRANGEMENT (16) has been rock solid in both starts back this time in and should be right at his peak third up. Sure to appreciate the step up in trip and looms as a major threat with Berry aboard. SPIRIT RIDGE (12) proved very game in defeat fresh and is expected to show good improvement second up with the blinkers going on for the first time. Stays at a mile, but comes here fresh (28 days) and Parr sticks. Rates well and should prove hard to run down. Stablemate MATOWI (4) did a great job to win last start and while up 2kg, he still has to be respected, despite likely to get back from the draw. KIRWAN'S LANE (15) was a sneaky good run last start and appears the next in line. SELECTION: Keen on #16 New Arrangement.

Flemington: Race 4 @ 2.40pm
REFLECT THE STARS (6) won well at Geelong and then had the form turned around at Ballarat when left with too much to do against the pattern of the day. Think that was a terrific effort all things considered and like this race for her now. TRALEE ROSE (5) is in terrific form. Fast at Flemington and then again at Sandown when seeing off one that has already backed that form up with a win of her own. MIYAKE (4) comes from Sydney off a win and can measure up along with CHAROSSA (1) who also arrives off a win last time. Step up for SAINT EUSTACE (7) but he did beat a competitive line up at Sandown and can run well again. SELECTION: Backing #6 Reflect The Stars.
Eagle Farm: Race 8 @ 5.20pm (AEDT)
FROSTY ROCKS (3) impressed first up when he led and kicked away for a strong 2.8L win at Rosehill. Has been kept fresh but goes well that way and has been kept up to the mark with a trial win. Take beating. PROFIT (2) was an eye catcher first up when he ran on well for a 1.5 lengths third over 1350m in the Listed Recognition Stakes at Doomben. Proven second up so will be fitter and has a good record here. Threat. PANIAGUA (4) is up in grade but just keeps winning. Made it eight in a row when landing race for country gallopers at Doomben last time. Must respect winning form. MASTER JAMIE (1) placed at Listed level last start and has won two of three attempts here. WAPITI (6) can improve second up with blinkers on. SELECTION: #3 Frosty Rocks to back up an impressive resuming win.
Morphettville: Race 7 @ 4.51pm (AEDT)
In the Christmas Handicap, TOO GOOD TOO HARD (6) has the opportunity to get a deserved win. She was so good during the Melbourne Spring without that success then charged the last bit two weeks ago. If she is in touch then she's hard to beat. STAR HILLS (2) is the opposite in that all he has done is win. The query will be running out a strong 1200m. ONE MORE JACK (5) was a very good winner of the City Of Marion. Hard to knock his form in total. SAVATOXL (1) will be up and out of the way. Watch if leaders are having a good day. LI'L KONTRA (9) was a little disappointing second up but her best is right up to winning this. SELECTION: #6 Tipping Too Good Too Hard for that win.
Ascot: Race 6 @ 6.24pm (AEDT)
RESORTMAN (2) returned to his best with a strong on pace win over 1200m two weeks ago off an outside gate. Drawn nicely here and can double up. COMFORT ME (5) showed plenty of talent last time in and has a nice first-up record. Keep safe. PLATINUM BULLET (6) ran on well behind Resortman first-up and can only be fitter. One of the chances again. MISSING PRO (1) and DIABLERIE (3) are coming off wins in easier grade and have claims. SELECTION: #2 Resortman to win.
