Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on December 15
Three TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Gunnedah, Mornington & Cairns.
Mornington: Race 6 @ 4:00pm
Without a noted lead engaged the pace looks average. STICKING POINT (4) improved again as favourite missing a whisker at Kyneton. Has more to give and gets the switch to a top hoop today. The one to beat reaching peak fitness. ANGEL ROCK (2) was back to form winning first-up this grade. She has more up the sleeve and will be hard to beat for a leading barn with Nolen sticking. FEELING GOOD (5) went close three times before being out-graded at Sandown-Hillside. Drawn to advantage and is a decent chance back to this level. STRYKING MISS (7) was just beaten here this trip at the last meeting at long odds and can't be discounted. SELECTIONS: A suitable assignment for #4 Sticking Point.

Gunnedah: Race 5 @ 3:45pm
Looks a solid tempo as Paavo takes up the running. LANDSTRASSE (1) finished the race off well to get up for fifth last start over 1500m at Kembla, beaten just 2.5 lengths. Has been improving gradually at each run at the provincials recently and gets his chance today dropping back to country racing. The McFarlane/Bullock combination has a strike rate of 38% which is noteworthy. GOOD AS GOLD (7) did his best work late to finish fourth last start at Armidale over 1400m. Rock hard fit and the manner of the last run suggests the mile is a wise option at this stage. POLITICAL (2) is backing up after finishing third at Tuncurry over this distance eight days ago. Strong run last time and with a bit of weight relief after the claim will make a bold showing again. HARDYO (5) finished 3.3 lengths from the winner last start at Muswellbrook over 1750m. Beaten a length two runs back at Grafton in this grade. In the mix although a bit skinny in early markets. SELECTIONS: Keen on #1 Landstrasse to win, but also have something on #7 Good As Gold each-way at around 20/1.
Cairns: Race 6 @ 5:50pm
Expecting Reagan to set a good tempo. BULLET STORM (2) won the CL2 at Townsville and then missed a nose here at 60 level storming home. He's a strong finisher suited by the longer distance and Pengelly is sure to give him a good ride. MODERNISM (7) is feared. Has won the last three and the latest in the 58 by a big space. Keeps getting better and the hot hoop will manage the sticky gate. AUTMED (1) has won two of the last three and it was comfortable the latest in a touch stronger. Draws for a soft run and is a player. SUNNY SAILOR (8) is going well in easier and gets weight relief. Next best. SELECTIONS: The betting edge may be with #2 Bullet Storm at the each way quote.
