Mornington: Race 8 @ 4:40pm

Lots of speed here as Runsis, Dark Horse set up a hot early pace. RAVEN'S BLAZE (6) is a winner of three of her six attempts at her home track, all over this distance. She runs here off a freshen up and is easy to like racing on speed, despite an awkward draw. DARK HORSE (11) first up is lightly raced and progressive. He won nicely on debut in town when favourite and creates plenty of interest here with natural improvement. YOUNG HARRY COOL (5) just missed in town last start at big odds and is worth including in the exotics here. ALUF (2) is unbeaten over the course and distance and has to be respected on speed from a good draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Raven's Blaze has the form at the track.

Sapphire Coast: Race 4 @ 3:35pm

Expecting a genuine speed in this contest. CALIFORNIA AUGUST (2) was making his stable debut at Moruya last weekend. Got a long way back in the run but he finished off well to be beaten 1.4L. He's got consistent form over the trip and looks a major threat from the good gate. FREAKY FRECKLES (5) showed strong signs of improvement here last meeting. Doubt coming back in trip helps her but she's bound to perform well once again. DIRECT DEFAULT (4) and HEAVEN OR HELL (8) best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: California August can win this second up.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 @ 5:25pm

Expecting a strong pace despite the small field. BROKEN HERO (1) appreciated the drop in grade when a 4.8 lengths all-the-way winner at this course and distance last time out. Building a nice record and is a key runner again. FIVE OXFORD (2) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third at Eagle Farm over today's trip in a Class 3 last time out. Has the pace to take a forward position and his best figures should see him run well. ZINGALONG (3) just missed first up over this course and distance then was a shade disappointing when fifth at Doomben over 1050m more recently. Can do better today with a cosy run assured out of gate one. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on #1 Broken Hero to make it two in a row.
