Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Geelong, Gawler and Belmont Park.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 4 @ 4:05 PM
AL SAHARA (9) finally got the job done last time out after finishing in the top five at her previous nine outings. Will take a bunch of confidence from that victory and looks a key contender. BET RED (2) goes very well over this mile trip with a win and five placings from seven attempts and is expected to run well. SOCRATES (6) is usually thereabouts and can earn a cheque. CAROLINA FIRE (12) will be near her peak now fourth-up and is one for the exotics.
SELECTIONS: Al Sahara to win.

GEELONG: RACE 6 @ 6:00 PM
LOVE TAKES TIME (9) hits this ready to win. Stable are rarely out of form but can make the case they are in the zone at the moment (24% last 50 runners) and they arrive with her third up off a perfect platform for this trip. Latest rating goes close to winning it. MELTDOWN (10) is also ready to win and is also third up with a platform from which to peak. Can make it very interesting. STORM'S COLOURS (2) comes off a good win and must be respected along with JOLTING (4) and ZANCADA (1).
SELECTIONS: Looks the race for Love Takes Time.
GAWLER: RACE 3 @ 2:15 PM
VAMPIRE SLAYER (8) is a local made good improvement here and then came back and turned in a big effort beaten 1.5L from a wide gate. Finally has an advantageous barrier and she's the one to beat. WITNESS GREATNESS (11) was spelled off a career peak when beaten 1.8L in a rich Open 2 at the Bridge. The filly has placed fresh and is sure to have come on. She gets in well under the race conditions. ROUGE RENARDE (6) got closer at The Bridge and has won an Oakbank trial since. In the mix with Gatt sticking. MAGICAL RIDE (5) resumes off a heavy track placing. Just as good on the dry and is sure to have come on. Has a handy barrier and has to be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Vampire Slayer.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 3:35 PM
HE'S A LUCKY LAD (3) won here as favourite by a space and then tackled the Group 2 WA Guineas and wasn't disgraced. This is miles easier and he should be winning for the in-form Durrant barn. GREAT WATERS (1) resumes off a solid trial in easier grade. Will race over further but he's won fresh and doubt the mile kick off point won't bother. HOLYOAKE (6) has been knocking on the door at this level. Chris Parnham sticks and will be hoping she jumps better today from another low gate. CABLE GUY (4) will get the run of the race and is a chance along with SENTIMENTAL FRIEND (2), but it's been a long time between drinks for him.
SELECTIONS: Keen on He's A Lucky Lad.
