Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on January 19
Two TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Wagga & Benalla.
WAGGA: RACE 8 @ 5:30 PM
TICKLER (4) was only beaten 2.2L at Randwick before placing in the CL3 at Moruya. They stack right up for this contest and McDougall's booking is a decent push. Draws for a cosy run and the blinkers are applied first time. Can win this and go on. ONS VIER (5) had been threatening before recording the big win this grade at Corowa. He will race handy again and should get every chance to repeat. CHIPSAREDOWN (1) was caught wide at Flemington and then missed a lip this track in Open grade. Draws to advantage and should be right in the finish despite the big weight lift. SCOUT (2) was only beaten 1.7L in the same race and also has claims. MANDALONG NICKO (8) is also in the mix. SELECTIONS: Tickler reaches peak fitness and is suited.

BENALLA: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
LADY MAGNUS (7) finished seventh last start beaten 4 lengths at Sandown-Lakeside over 1200m and prior to that was placed at the Valley. Very well placed this grade and looks the one to beat. HILLCREST MOSES (3) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time and can fight out the finish here. MOUNTAIN IBIS (1) bounced back to winning form at Albury last start and could find the frame again. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. THE RICH FISHER (2) finished tenth last start, beaten 9 lengths at Flemington over 1200m. Far easier assignment this time and expecting a much improved run. BUCHAN HOAKS (6) looks ready to run well again. SELECTIONS: Lady Magnus well placed this class.
