We have 10 of the best at headquarters on Saturday in what looks a fairly deep Quaddie with the ninth a real head scratcher. The Ryan & Alexiou trained The Face has been rock solid in both starts to begin this preparation and should be right at his peak in the fourth event. Read More 

Doomben: Race 5 @ 2:52pm 

A competitive day of racing at Doomben on Saturday with multiple chances in most races so we've gone looking for some each way value. One of those is the progressive sprinter Criminal Defence.The three-year-old ran on to break his maiden first up and then settled near the tail but was an eye-catcher charging home for fourth last start. Gawler: Race 9 @ 1:46pm

The Michael Hickmott yard has been in great form winning many races in the last fortnight and Promoter will be resuming in a winnable Race 7. He should be able to find the front from the low draw and he did that with success back in August. Read More 

 Ascot: Race 7 @ 4:00PM

In that race there is no doubt Son Of A God was unlucky but so often those horses go up unders while the winner gets downgraded and we have the feeling that is the case here with Dig Deep. The former Karrakatta Plate has finally won some races since that big race and in the Easingwold he was strong late under Willie Pike. Read More
