Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on February 10.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Sandown-Hillside, Ipswich, Ascot, Gawler and Launceston.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 6 @ 5:15 PM
Hard to fault the form of AWESOME LAD (5) who has had two wins and a second from three runs for the new stable. Placed at this track and trip last time out and has drawn to get a gun run for Rawiller. Looks the one to beat. TRAVEST (8) loves this track winning two from two and should be at peak fitness now third-up. Berry has had two wins and a placing from six rides. Could be the main threat. CATAPULT (6) remarkably has never finished out of the top five in 19 starts to date. Broke through for a well-deserved win last start and can go on with it now. AVADANE (10) is nearing peak fitness fourth-up and gets 2kg off and EXCELTIC (4) is worth including in the multiples.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 4 @ 5:25 PM
ANGEL ROCK (10) has just been beaten at Geelong the last two and reaches peak fitness. Nolen goes on today and the mare rates a decent hope at an each way quote. MAGNOSSIVA (9) has been racing well at the mile in good races. Gets a 2kg claim and the extra 200m will suit. COMANCHE BRAVE (7) didn't have the best of it second-up following the easy Maiden win. Runs along and will get every chance. NOT MINE (1) is a stablemate to Angel Rock and has been racing in better class. The 2kg claimer will secure a soft run and he can win without surprising.
SELECTIONS: Angel Rock each way.
GAWLER: RACE 6 @ 3:25 PM
PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL (8) finished off strongly behind Echo Boomer at Morphettville last time, That's very good form for a race like this and she will take some beating. SHEBRINGZIT (9) has a good record, but over further, and was given a let-up after winning at Strathalbyn and Balaklava both over 2050 and 2200m respectively. She's trialled well. GALCRUM (7) has a good record her eon his home track and chase home Issara last time. FAST PLAN (2) has been OK at three runs back and was only beaten 3.2 len behind Good Girl Bella at Morphettville on Saturday. DIAMOND TYCOON (6) was disappointing last time but can improve here.
SELECTIONS: Puissance Dusoleil each-way.
IPSWICH: RACE 7 @ 4:33 PM
NORM'S CHOICE (4) resumes and is a 1st up winner who's right up to this if presented on-song. Goes wet and dry and the in-form Stanley comes down to ride. Draws for a soft run and will take plenty of beating. COSSIE (3) hasn't won for a while but had been knocking on the door. Thompson will give him every chance drawn the rail and riding the speed. SEE MIRACLES (5) has been close-up the last two and is back substantially in grade. Peaks now and keep safe. SEE FOR YOURSELF (2) was better the latest and won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Norm's Choice should have an edge.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 3 @ 7:20 PM
GEE GEES PUNTER (4) needs to jump away better than it did last start but on ability looks a good chance here. WE NEED A STAR (1) is at the right stage of the prep to go well. Might find a couple stronger but does rate as a place chance. LITTLE HOT MISSILE (2) does need to show more but as the depth drops away can be in the wider placings. REWARD ACHIEVER (7) could be the value runner. Has had excuses at the last couple of outings and with a clearer run could be right in it. HOLY DIAMOND (5) had excuses last start and didn't finish far off the winner here at good odds. Won't surprise if it goes well in this and has to go in.
SELECTIONS: Reward Achiever each-way if the odds allow.
