Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on February 12.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Canterbury, Tamworth, Taree, Moonee Valley, Sale and Townsville.
CANTERBURY: RACE 7 @ 9:15 PM
A model of consistency LANCASTER BOMBER (3) has finished in the top five at his past 12 starts. Drawn to get a gun run from gate one for Rawiller and loves this track with a win and four placings from six runs. Looks to be fighting out the finish again. STARSPANGLED RODEO (2) is one from one over the track and distance and has won second-up before. Is another who has drawn low and looks a key player. HE'S A HOTSHOT (5) relishes this trip with four wins and seven placings from 15 goes and has never missed a place at this track. Must respect. KAWAIKINI (10) is never far away and has won four times over the journey. NICTOCK (11) will be fitter third-up and has come in well at the weights.
SELECTIONS: Lancaster Bomber to win.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Canterbury Computer Card.
TAMWORTH: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM
LAST CHANCE DANCE (4) resumed as favourite winning the CL1 for the new yard and then was backed again just missing at Scone. They read well and fitter she should be taking this out. BIT OF A BEAUTY (3) has had one blip around two decent efforts. She will use the rail and will be right in it racing at peak. ALCHERA (6) gets a big weight drop and will be around the mark with a repeat of the Wellington effort two-back. LORD TONY (1) is much better then the formline suggests and he should be ready to show his best.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Chance Dance to win.
TAREE: RACE 7 @ 5:15 PM
RAZANO (3) is racing very well. She enjoys tracks with give in them and doesn't run bad ones often here. Hard to see her not right in the finish again. HAVANA STORM (8) has the right form lines then. She just can't seem to win one. ZIZANIA (9) hasn't won for a very long time. However the stable is having a nice trot. SCORCHED LAND (4) found last time too tough. Has performed well this course. BLINKIN SNAZZY (10) is better suited around here than a week ago.
SELECTIONS: Razano is the play.
MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 4 @ 8:00 PM
MOSH MUSIC (2) scored a strong win last time at Sandown. Will have no problems handling the extra ground and should be hard to hold out again. STARS OF CARRUM (5) has been in the market at his last few runs and had every chance last time at Sandown after leading. Only win was here so must be given consideration. BARTHOLOMEU DIAS (3) hasn't been far away lately and toughed it out well to fill a place last time. Won't be far away again. VADIYANN (6) gets some weight relief here and stable can never be under-estimate when seen in Melbourne. Look for a forward showing.
SELECTIONS: Back Moshe Music.
SALE: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
MELTDOWN (4) has the inside gate and with early speed could lead from start to finish. Appeals well here. GLAMDAM (2) was fancied first-up and might have needed that run. Can go better today and gear changes might do the trick. SWEET AS SCANDI (7) is likely to find this easier than the Moonee Valley run. Rates as a place chance at least. AND SHE WAS (1) may need this outing. Progression over the break will be key but can go in trifectas. ZOE MAE (9) hasn't been seen since August but on ability so far, including in exotics.
SELECTIONS: Meltdown the win.
TOWNSVILLE: RACE 5 @ 4:04 PM
SUCH A WHIT (3) resumes seeking the hat-trick and was heavily-bet the latest at Mackay. Not sure the rail suits but he's won 2/3 fresh and will be hard to beat. BET ON LOVE (6) also resumes and will be a player if presented forward in easier grade. Draws low and looks well-placed with the 3kg claim. HIT SNOOZE (8) was just beaten here at this level and found one better at Home Hill over a shorter sprint. Needs a good ride but is in the mix. SYLVESTER (7) usually needs a couple of runs but is capable and is worth a look.
SELECTIONS: Going with Such A Whit.
