Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for major Australian thoroughbred meetings on February 15.

Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Stony Creek, Muswellbrook and Ballina.

STONY CREEK: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM

Another tricky affair with a few first-starters without any trial form. HEZAZEB (2) looks the strongest of those with exposed form. Has placed at his last three starts and placed two from two at the distance. Drawn to get a nice run in behind them and is a major player. MYSTERIOUS ART (3) has placed two from seven and over the distance. Can be prominent fresh. MELISMA (9) is from a very astute stable and should be respected on debut. SUNNYSIDE COTTAGE (12) has been thereabouts in her three starts and may feature. DANERICH DAN (1) will be fitter second-up.
SELECTIONS: Hezazeb to win.

BALLINA: RACE 2 @ 2:40 PM

Tricky. NEVER LOSE FAITH (6) did about what expected on the heavy first-up and will be much improved of the run. He has plenty up the sleeve and gets the form hoop first time and the low gate. The Healy yard is getting plenty of winners. PRINCE OF BRAEMAR (8) won the 58 and then placed at Grafton back to the dry. Uses the rail and looks a decent chance. WAIKATO (5) was much better winning the Maiden up to this trip. Peaks now and a repeat effort will have him make the finish at a price. JUST A JOKE (4) and ROCQUETTE (3) are also racing well enough to take this out without surprising.
SELECTIONS: Never Lose Faith looks the one.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 6 @ 4:50 PM

BRAVIO (2) has been performing well in much stronger city and provincial races and will run along from the low barrier. Back to a 58 the scratchings leave him the one to beat. FOXSTORM (7) gets the rail and will use it. Races at peak fitness and will be hard to peg back. HEREDERO (5) has been good both runs back and will find this easier than Newcastle. He has more to give and is a player. FOREVER JUDE (10) has been plain the last two in better grade and comes back to a sprint distance freshened. He can run into the first-four.
SELECTIONS: Going with Bravio.
