Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on February 16.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Goulburn, Scone, Swan Hill and Warwick.
GOULBURN: RACE 1 @ 12:55 PM
GENKIDES (1) is yet to run a bad race in three starts to date. Will be at peak fitness fourth-up and has placed twice over this distance. Looks the one to beat on exposed form. TORINDA (3) has been good in both Warwick Farm trials and strikes a winnable race on debut. Keep an eye on any market moves. WILLY WILSON (11) is the most experienced horse in the field and gets 2kg off. Include in exotics.
SELECTIONS: Genkides to win.

SCONE: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM
MISS KONO (1) spelled off the Newcastle placing and then led first-up winning easily as an odds-on favourite. She is promising and can take the next step with Reith sticking. PATINO RUBY (2) resumes for a leading local yard and is feared. Brings sharp form from the initial preparation and owns a trial win. She will have come on and is drawn to get every chance. BIZARRO (3) will fly from the rail and is also a player building on the Gilgandra near-miss. SIDEWALK (5) deserved the easy Tamworth Maiden win and can improve again and make the finish. KALLIE (8) also goes in.
SELECTIONS: Backing Miss Kono.
SWAN HILL: RACE 2 @ 2:00 PM
I AM MAMWAAZEL (3) has the form this campaign to run well in this maiden company. Filled a place at both runs back and rates as a leading contender. ENLIGHTENING LADY (10) is a filly by Sebring out of Lady's Light set to debut for the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace stable. Pay to respect any betting moves. PUNTER (4) has filled the runner-up position in two attempts so far. Like what he is showing and is trained here. Has definite claims. DANDY CLASSIC (9) is a three-year-old filly by Dandino from Top Classic on debut. Profiles well and worth watching for a betting push.
SELECTIONS: Back I Am Mamwaazel.
WARWICK: RACE 4 @ 3:52 PM
L'AMANTE (5) won third-up as expected making another ratings spike. He will run along and rates to repeat with the weight relief. COOK IT CHARLIE (1) improved again just beaten at Beaudesert. Was heavily-backed and is feared drawn well and back a touch in grade. BETTER BE BETTER (3) placed in better class following the first-up win. She's fast and fitter in well in the mix. MISSLLEERS (6) has been knocking on the door and is also a chance racing at peak fitness.
SELECTIONS: Going with L'Amante.
