Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on February 26.

Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Canterbury, Albury, Sale, Moonee Valley, Townsville and Mount Barker.

CANTERBURY: RACE 2 @ 6:45 PM

JENGA (4) was well found on debut and duly saluted by three lengths in dominant fashion. From an astute stable and Berry sticks. Will take further improvement from that experience and looks the clear one to beat. HINCHBEAST (5) showed glimpses of his two-year-old form last time out when running second over this track and trip. Will be at peak fitness fourth-up and can go close. INVESTOR (3) has had a win and a third from two attempts at this track and distance. Drawn well for King and can feature. PATROLLING (2) has placed at this track and has won first-up. Include in multiples. LONG WEEKEND (6) is up in grade but has placed over the journey.
SELECTIONS: Jenga to win.

ALBURY: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM

ROPPONGI (3) placed here at BM58 level last start and was ok at Moe before that. Has to be rated a place chance at least and a winning hope with an important scratching. CHARM WING (6) notched a win here which, although it sounds obvious, was an improvement overall. Can go on with it if the manners improve. ZOULY (4) should find this easier than the Newcastle run. Might also find a few stronger for placings in this. Include in exotics along with REFIRE (12) who has faced stronger company of late and can't be left out. SNITWAY (2) could be a sneaky outsider after winning at Bendigo last start. Worth it each-way.
SELECTIONS: Snitway each-way.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 2 @ 7:00 PM

MARABI (7) could not have been more impressive landing a six-length win on debut. No doubt will be improved by the experience and should be tough to stop here. O'REILLY MCLUKE (1) was sent out favourite and toughed it out well at Kyneton last time which followed Australian debut win at Warrnambool. Is worth including in the multiples. FRISSON (6) fought on gamely at Sandown last time and back to this trip is worthy of each-way thought.
SELECTIONS: Back Marabi.

SALE: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM

THE STAGER (5) was in the money last start when second at Ballarat over 1400m on a soft track and should be at his top. Long overdue and has the addition of blinkers this time. Capable of going close. CAPITO (2) finished off strongly when beaten 1.5 lengths last time at Moe. Top contender. ANOTHER PLUCK (6) placed by 5 lengths last time out at Stony Creek. Should give this a shake. DEBULLET (7) finished off strongly when beaten one length last time at Pakenham. Should be winding up late again. LOCHEND ROCKY ROY (3) comes here with definite place claims.
SELECTIONS: The Stager gets chance.
