Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on March 3.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Sandown-Lakeside, Doomben, Murray Bridge, Pinjarra and Launceston.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 5 @ 4:05 PM
KAWAIKINI (8) has been a great money-spinner for connections and loves this track with three placings from four attempts. King has two placings from two steers and will be rock-hard fit. Should be fighting out the finish again. EXOTIC RUBY (2) has placed two from two at this track and will be at peak fitness fourth-up. HYANNIS PORT (5) has a good second-up record with a win and a second from two starts. REGIMENTAL BAND (3) has an impeccable first-up record with two wins and a placing from four attempts and can feature fresh. RUBY TUESDAY (4) has won first-up and goes good for Sherry.
SELECTIONS: Kawaikini each-way.

SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 2 @ 3:40 PM
YULONG CODE (5) was a heavily-bet Maiden winner the only start last preparation and then switched to the Moody yard beaten just 3L in the Autumn Stakes G2. Didn't have the best of it in that and gets the blinkers first time. He's promising and fitter will take plenty of beating. LIQUEURO (1) seeks the hat-trick off a lip defeat at Flemington over a middle distance in 70 grade. Has been freshened and gets the handy 2kg claim. No surprise if he makes another ratings spike. DERIVE (6) was too good for the Maidens here second-up and that stacks-up as well. She can box seat and Kah stays in the saddle. ROUSSEAU (7) was wide winning the Maiden comfortably and will be better for it. He has more to give and rates a chance.
SELECTIONS: Backing Yulong Code to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 6 @ 4:33 PM
HEY BIG SPLENDA (3) was heavily-bet and broke through for his Maiden win at this track on the soft and Fradd stays aboard. Deserved that and he can go right on with it for the sharp yard reaching peak fitness. BUNDYANDCOKE (1) drifted well back before winding up strongly to score an effortless 2 lengths win over 1200m at this track improving again. Draws well and will get every chance to repeat. BI TURBO (13) has missed a lip both race starts with the latest in stronger at this venue. Is promising and ready to win but the gate is tricky. DANSANT (7) won the Maiden here on the heavy as expected. She can keep improving and include at a price.
SELECTIONS: Backing Hey Big Splenda.
MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 7 @ 5:10 PM
SADENTE (8) has been placed at both runs here and was good last time making ground behind Tony's Reward on the Parks track which is good form for a race like this. TRUMPSTA (6) was a good winner here two starts back and then ran well in a harder race last time behind stablemate Call Me Shamus. CARBONE (10) was good when runner-up behind May Be Fate last time out and has been placed at one of three starts here. XINGYUN (9) has ability and looks well suited here. JUST ROLLING (12) has a good record with two wins from four starts here and races well fresh. He had specking last time behind Sebonna and must be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Sadente each-way all day.
PINJARRA: RACE 5 @ 4:10 PM
MISS MARIETTA (5) is at the right stage of the prep to win. The second-up start at Ascot was an improvement and she has a liking for Pinjarra. LYLE'S CHOICE (1) might need the run but with race experience measures up well. Has been going ok at the trials. FRIAR'S FANTASIA (2) lines up really well third-up as well. Just needs to settle in the run. If it does then should be in the finish. CHAMPAGNE GAL (6) missed narrowly at big odds last start. Looks to be stepping up and is a place chance at least. DUCK FEET (7) rates as a wider exotics chance but need to improve.
SELECTIONS: Miss Marietta the win.
