Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Newcastle, Cranbourne, Port Lincoln and Stawell
NEWCASTLE: RACE 4 @ 3:10 PM
The well-bred MEMBERS ONLY (1) was impressive on debut finishing second at this track when making good ground from the rear of the field. The step up to 1400m looks ideal and the booking of McDonald a plus. Looks hard to beat. VANILLA SKY (4) has had three excellent city trials in preparation for this debut and must be respected. Watch market moves. ALLTHEHILLS (2) was in the mix here on debut and will improve from that experience. CURIOSO (8) has had plenty of chances but may earn a cheque. BELLA FIGURA (6) can feature fresh.

NEWCASTLE: RACE 5 @ 3:50 PM
INVINCIBLE KISS (2) has been a model of consistency of late placing in town at her last two starts. Loves this distance with two wins and four placings from eight attempts and has won at this track. Will be in it a long way. MR POLAR (5) was a dominant winner over this track and trip last time out and has drawn well in gate two. Looks one of the main chances. BALLISTIC MOON (6) loves this track and distance with a win and two placings from three starts. Latham sticks and can go on with it. HEAVEN'S HIGH (4) has a good first-up record with two wins and two placings from five attempts. It might be a bit short for SUPER (1) but he loves this track with four wins from eight goes and will be hitting the line.
SELECTIONS: Invincible Kiss to win.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 5 @ 8:30 PM
WINSUM (5) returns after a break and as a gelding. Lightly-raced but is showing plenty of promise. Expected to go close. THE GENERAL (2) had some good form last campaign but didn't do a lot first-up at Flemington. Kept fresh since and is worth keeping in mind. CUT IT OUT (4) is a speedy filly who led throughout in good fashion at The Valley. Should be in this for a long way. ESTORIL PARK (7) has only had the two starts and is making nice progress. Will be improved by the win at this track in January and should not be left out of calculations.
SELECTIONS: Back Winsum.
PORT LINCOLN: RACE 7 @ 3:50 PM
DEXTER YOU DEVIL (1) is the class horse chasing back to back Cup wins, His recent form in stronger races has been sound, he's got plenty of weight and a tricky gate but will thrive if there is a genuine tempo. PAULO PACE (3) has been in great form winning three of his past five and was good beating Lady Conquistador last time out and should handle the step in trip no problems. ANALYTICA (2) hit the line strongly here last time behind Paulo Pace and looks to have solid claims here, He's drawn a sticky gate but his best form is good for a race like this. BRAMFIELD (4) has never finished worse than 2nd at four starts this track and trip and was doing his best work late last time behind Paulo Pace. LADY CONQUISTADOR (6) has a great record this track and trip and finished off strongly behind Paulo Pace last time, the main concern is the wide gate.
SELECTIONS: Dexter You Devil to win his second Port Lincoln Cup.
STAWELL: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM
REFRESHED (3) resumes here after closing off her last prep with a tenth place run at Casterton. Long time since a win but does tend to go well fresh. LUNCH SESSION (2) resumes after nine months. Former Territorian who went to the paddock a winner at first run for new yard. Expected to go close but will be better over a little further. SHIP OF DREAMS (7) ran midfield last start at Benalla when fresh. Is up in trip today but fitter and looms as a genuine each way chance. FI STYLE (5) ran an improved race finishing midfield last start at Kilmore when well supported and is up in distance. Could add some value to betting. SUNDAY NIGHT TEA (4) wasn't disgraced last time out each-way chance with a similar effort.
SELECTIONS: Like the prospects of Refreshed first-up.
