Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 20.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Mornington, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Ascot
MORNINGTON: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM
SAPPHIRE CROWN (7) arrives here through what looks a really strong form reference up in Sydney. Winner fresh at Flemington but really good when third behind a smart one at Rosehill and if she goes on with that she must take all the beating. HUMZZ (2) also arrives off a win last time that rated well and comes under notice. CHINA AFFAIR (9) is ticking along nicely and draw is ideal. SARTORIAL SPLENDOR (1) has plenty of pace and can lead them off one. Chance given that.
SELECTIONS: Sapphire Crown can be too good for these.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Mornington Card.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM
ROYAL WITNESS (2) has been good in to runs since a spell. Gave a sight first up in Sydney then missed narrowly when third at this track last time. Has a good record here and hasn't missed a place third up so looks ready to peak and win. JAY JAY D'AR (6) hit the line hard and was too strong in scoring a win at Sunshine Coast last time. Back in distance but is drawn to get the favours. Contender. MADDI ROCKS (5) has run on strongly at her past two runs over 1400m and three of her four career wins have come at this shorter trip. Close to another win. INVINCIBLE AL (1) beat Royal Witness to win here last start and is drawn to advantage. Must be respected. A wet track would suit EPIC GIRL (4).
SELECTIONS: Royal Witness to peak and win third up.
MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 3 @ 1:46 PM
TERRITORY TITAN (1) could well camp on the back of the speed and run on by again. He had plenty to spare here over shorter but will run this no problems. So hard to beat. LA RICHESSE (8) will be near the race lead and always gives you a sight. She is getting down in the weights now. DON'TDREAMIT'SOVER (3) will find this easier than last time around. A better track will help as well. FRANCE'S BOY (4) could surprise going back up in ground. HEIR OF TAVISTOCK (7) won in easier company but at least it was this course and distance.
SELECTIONS: Territory Titan once again.
ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 4:05 PM
CHARLETON EDDIE (4) is very hard to fault and he was too strong leading all the way second-up at Bunbury. Probably won't lead here but likely hits the lead 200m out and goes close. EXCELLENT DREAM (3) won twice here before dropping to 1000m and running on strongly into third at Bunbury. Hard to knock. JERICHO MISSILE (5) finished second in the same race in a return to something like his best form. Could go on with it. PLATINUM BULLET (8) and CRYSTAL SPIRIT (9) are in the mix. SELECTIONS: Charleton Eddie to win. Trifecta 4-3,5,8,9/3,5,8,9.
