Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 27.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Doomben, Ascot and Morphettville
ROSEHILL: RACE 5 @ 3:10 PM
MO'UNGA (3) simply should have won the Randwick Guineas when only into the clear very late. Savaged the line and is sure to be better suited getting out to 2000m. Drawn better this time around and hoping it means he can settle closer. Trending the right way and with clear air he should prove hard to hold out. MONTEFILIA (15) beat home Lion's Roar in the Spring Champion Stakes last preparation and while it won't be easy making the jump from 1400m to 2000m, she is all class and has to be respected. GRANDSLAM (5) demoralised them at the Valley last start and if able to run up to that performance he is sure to be in this for a long way. LION'S ROAR (1) did too well in the Guineas when sweeping home down the outside. Another on an upward spiral and if able to stretch his form to 2000m, he looms as a major threat.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Mo'Unga.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Rosehill Card.
DOOMBEN: RACE 7 @ 3:42 PM
SNITZARI (6) was strong last start when she raced on pace before drawing away for an easy 2.3L win at this course and distance. That followed a series of close up efforts and her ratings suggest she can go on with the job. OH FIVE GLORY (4) has been thereabouts at her past few and can play a role again. ZOUKINA (16) is racing well with back to back placings since a resuming win. Deserving of respect along with IAMICAN (3).
SELECTIONS: Snitzari won well last start and can do it again.
ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 4:10 PM
AMASENUS (10) was super impressive winning last week at 1000m and with good speed here should have the last call on them again. Take holding out. MOOD SWINGS (5) is in great form with a couple of seconds since a game win at 1000m. Will be around the mark again. SOME SORT (1) hasn't raced since an easy Kalgoorlie win in October at only run last prep. Will be on speed and giving a sight. CREATOR (8) is an improver and GRAND DESIGN (7) is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Amasenus to win. Trifecta 10-1,5,7,8/1,5,7,8.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 4 @ 2:31 PM
LUNAR HERO (8) was game behind Esta La Rocca at Moonee Valley two starts back before scoring a 5 len Echuca win back in December. He draws a tricky gate but is a promising type who take some catching. CENTREFIELD (6) ran well behind Larkham on the Parks last week and must be respected on her three wins from her previous four starts at Port Lincoln. WRITE ENUFF (4) has won just the two races but has been placed eight times from 18 starts and was runner-up at Moonee Valley behind Forever Free before a handy Cranbourne effort. CHAMPAGNE AFFAIR (9) was a Balaklava winner two starts back and had good support behind Spanish Heirloom last time. HUFFINGTON (3) has been around the mark and must be respected in a race like this.
SELECTIONS: Lunar Hero to win.
