Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB thoroughbred meetings on March 30.

Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Newcastle, Mornington, Ipswich and Mackay.  

NEWCASTLE: RACE 5 @ 4:15 PM

I SAY HELLO (4) is a local who missed a nose here resuming 25 days ago and has trialled sharply since. Had been away for a long time and she will have come on. Bowman's only ride and can find a forward position and prove hard to beat. CENTIMENTAL (3) resumes for the Waller yard and placed the latest trial at Rosehill. Was last seen in the Group 2 and will be very hard to beat if presented forward. SALATEEN (1) has been heavily-backed both starts this preparation and didn't have much luck the latest following the big 64 win. Berry sticks but needs to manage the wide gate. CANADIAN SPICE (5) deserved the Maiden win and gets the chance to go-on drawn to advantage.

MORNINGTON: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM

THE ADMIRAL (8) has two placings from four runs this campaign. Overdue for a win and the scratchings look to give him his chance. MAGIC MURPHY (4) was only fair last time but is rarely far away. Has the ability and on home track looks a leading player on best. A WALER (1) comes off a couple of runner-up runs and is overdue for a win. Low draw and expected to go close again. NEWZEEL DEAL (7) can improve on first up performance. Excellent winning chance.
SELECTIONS: Keen on The Admiral.

IPSWICH: RACE 4 @ 2:12 PM

LAMARCHE (10) keeps improving and won the Maiden by a space 52 days ago on the heavy. Gets soft conditions and won't have to improve much to repeat the dose. SQUIRREL HUNTER (7) deserved the Maiden win and will race handy. Will be fitter and can make the finish. KOBANG (4) had plenty on the Maidens at Gatton when she led well-bet. Gets the rail and every chance to go on. ARRIVERDERCI ROMA (1) has been knocking on the door and is worth a look with the claim in easier grade. SELECTIONS: With Lamarche.
